Long story short is its a guy that has a "wholesale" business that is selling the car. The number you call is a salesman at a dealership though. Financing and trade ins will and can be taking through the dealership. High demand car, can't get any in Canada, need to offset the cost of taking the "350,000 worth of vehicles they can't sell", blah blah blah, same old song and dance. My thinking is if you need to take $350,000 worth of vehicles that don't sell to get this one Hellcat, then don't do it. Simple and easy business decision in my mind.
My dealer (the owner of the dealership) told me that he had to take some promasters and darts to get one of the Hellcats he has on order of the 4 total ordered. He is a very small dealership in rural Saskatchewan and makes absolutely zero sense to take in Promasters vans as there is no chance in Hell he would even sell one. He told me this and I get it and understand completely why he said no. I'm not going to hold this against him. He is making a responsible business decision.
Also interesting to note, this same "wholesale" dealer has two US hellcats coming in that will be same price or close to it except the warrant will be void because they are US cars.
