So I snapped a couple pics under the Durango that I’m wondering if they all have. Pertains to the noise (rattling) under the floor pans

let me know if your looks like this or it’s just mine

one is behind the trans x member and no hood reason I can see for the crimped down pipe except to lose $25 HP

the other is the pipe where it likely rattles on the x member brace

That’s exactly what I planned to do put a couple washers between it . It’s on my lift right now

I think dodge meant to put that crimp where the x member goes under and they screwed up and put it in the wrong pipe . Cause there’s nothing there that would require that crimp.
Kinda half azzed. If the dealer doesn’t have fox for it I’ll have to heat it up and pull it out would drive me crazy to leave it like that

Did the noise go away for people w the washers or is the noise coming from exhaust pulses hitting the crimp? Doesn’t sound like a rattle to me.

I will say pretty much love everything else about this car. Goes like drag car, handles like a Vette, tows like my diesel (I’m guessing ) and can scoot the family around these are great cars Can’t ask for much more from a car and I’m not impressed that easy, my turbo car is 960 hp and runs 9s off the foot brake

my dads 84 years old , he had a 56 D500-1 convertible back in the day. Never liked any cars as much as that car and he’s had some great cars, but this thing I think he does.

I launched it w him in it and made a full pass and he looked happy as hell!
Gotta get him behind the wheel soon for a pass .

Yep, the sound is the vibration of the exhaust hitting the brace under hard torqueing. That's why you only hear it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The rest of the gears don't torque as hard and it doesn't hit. I agree about the crimp. It's in the wrong place and this would normally be something figured out on the 22' models if there would have been one. Cheers!

the crimp has been on all the 6.4 jeeps since 2011. its to get to that bolt above. The crimp side flows within 4% of other side.
I think maybe they tested one that wasn’t crimped as far as mine is…. Mine is half the size of the other side pipe .

have people picked up any power w aftermaket pipes? If so how much? Curious I’d take this off put it away in storage and weld up my own stainless system.
