My local dealer informed me that I could still order a brand new HC Durango. I thought the banks were closed in June. Does anyone have any insight on how long they will be open for ?

Thanks !

Just because they will allow you to order one doesn't mean you'll get it. They extended the original allocation of 2000 Durango Hellcat's to 3000. So far, only 2100'ish have been built. With COVID and the chip shortage its unlikely they will even reach 3K. Its one year production only and it doesn't look like that many more are going to be built this year. Normally most manufacturers start producing 2022 models about this time of year.

They said end of November is end of production for them. There are still people ordering them because they gave more allocations out. BUT the chip and supply chain shortage shut down the plant for several weeks recently. They aren't making a 2022 model so I would guess some of the orders are going to get cancelled.

Just an update, it went into production 2 weeks ago and Dodge supplied me with a VIN. The owner of the dealer feels like I will be taking delivery at the end of the month.
What do you mean when you say 'went into production'? A VIN is given in an early stage 'D' but that doesn't mean it's going to be built. Your dealer can share with you the order stage and you can look that up on the reference posts here (since you only have 3 posts I don't know if you know all this already).

your dealer has access to the build status so ask him to update you every time it changes...otherwise you are watching paint dry or the tidal changes in your 20 gal fish tank... 😪
This.

Estimated ship date means nothing this year. Pre-programmed number in their system based on normal operating conditions. It may be on track,it may not. Our it could and that changes next week if there is a new shutdown order. Also you have Thanksgiving holiday in a couple weeks.

Knowing there are real build codes and seeing your build sheet and window sticker available, those are the biggies

Any update on production numbers? Most of the production strings say final numbers not to mid yr??

Someone is tracking it on the Durango forums, I don't know where the link is though. You would have to search for it on Dodge Durango Forum
