No, no, no, you are not going to put a torque converter on a manual, are you?

The main problem is that when you lift the clutch to shift gears, the output shaft will accelerate as it catches up to the outer shell, which it could not do due to load on output shaft, so you have to wait quite a while to shift gears when you use a manual with a torque converter. It's why they use planetary gears, each with its own clutches.

Now, a clutch-automatic is a poor man's Lenco. I wonder why not one has done that one yet.

Did you ever find the answer here? Mine seems to start pushing at 1900-2000rpm
Yes I did. . I spoke to the guys at Suncoast and they told me it's about 1900-2000 rpm. I have the converter in my car now and it seems to be about right .

Thanks! I know I can set LC to 1900 but it will act inconsistent... 1700-1800 seems to give me the best launch results. 🍻
