Hi guys

I greet you from the land of BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen. :) I have fulfilled my dream of a Challenger this year. After driving BMW for years, now was the right time - as long as there are still such US Cars!

Here in Europe there is already for years the trend to smaller and smaller engines and classic V8 die out more and more. At the beginning of June my new Challenger Hellcat WB finally arrived. :)

It is not so easy to get such a car, because Dodge does not sell in Europe. The only way is through importers - normally that's no problem, but this year there are hardly any new Challengers arriving due to supply shortages at the importers (and a used car was out of the question for me). Due to the import and some adjustments to European law (otherwise you don't get a permit for public roads in Germany) the car is considerably more expensive than in the US, but I want to keep the Hellcat permanently (at some point there are no more cars like this), so it should definitely be new.

Now I'm very happy and have a lot of fun with my Challenger since two months!

Greets from Germany
Alex

I ENVY you since you can cruise on the Autobahn!!!!!!!! Welcome from across the big pond.
Yeah, on the German Autobahn there are definitely still many areas without speed limits (though now much less than before, some areas are limited and traffic in Germany has increased extremely, so you don't always have a clear path). ;)

But possibilities exist - even more so due to the fast acceleration. So far I've driven a maximum of 256km/h (159 mph), but there's still some way to go. ;) However, more and more Germans are for a speed limit on the Autobahn, so I assume that we have that in a few years...

Suggest you drive it "As Is" and NEVER EVER mod it. Leave it "Stone Stock". The car is Perfectly Designed & Engineered. :) Enjoy the Autobahn (y)

Best!

If you have the A8 TorqueFlite, you know that it is a German ZF.
Yes, I have installed the A8.The A8 is terrific! I have a dual clutch transmission in my previous car and the A8 is almost nothing inferior to this - insane!

And of course I know ZF. ZF is based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, and the Friedrichshafen region is my old home - and ZF is of course a household name there - after all, a great many manufacturers use their technology. :)

Welcome, i had a dream that i could take a drive with my Hellcat, from Norway and to Germany :)
And try out the Autobahn.
I have to wait, until my new Challenger WB Hellcat Redeye arrive (y)
Cool thing! I hope the Redeye comes soon and you can make the trip on the Autobahn soon. Because I wouldn't wait too long. It's quite possible that driving without a limit on the German Autobahn will soon no longer be possible. In the fall are elections in Germany due to many changing interests of the Germans it looks like a new government will decide a maximum speed on German Autobahn. Maybe something like that will come already in 2022 or 2023... :(

I hope not, but I have no more hope that the German Autobahn will remain without a speed limit of 130 km/h (81 mph) for a long time. Driving without a limit on Autobahn will probably be history soon - unfortunately. 😭

Yeah, and here in Norway they may band the sale of new petrol/diesel cars in 2025 !
As if a little country of 5 millions will save the world.

Hey I'm from Hamburg. Have a great time with your cat in Krefeld. I have the same attitude and will probably keep mine forever ;) Will have the historic license plate in 2047 haha
Enjoy!
Hehe, cool! However, I'm not from Krefeld, there is only my dealer. I come from the region of Düsseldorf/Solingen (which is now also not far from Krefeld). My license plate was unfortunately only not yet available on the day of pickup, so I got a short-term license plate for the first few days - hence "KR". ;)

My historic license plate I have then 2051 - I hope times that there is then still gasoline in Germany.
