Anyone have an idea of what to expect for a lead time on an order placed today? Charger Hellcat, basically no options. One dealer has said expect 6-8 months. another dealer said she has 1 order that hasn't moved for a month (which to me isn't that bad), and a Dan Cummins said they haven't had any of their Hellcat orders picked up yet. 🤦‍♂️

Million dollar question...

Some have had order to delivery in as little as 3 months.
Some have had 22 ordered since November/December and still stuck in D status. Could be more months before delivery.
(like me...)

Just like the TRX's, I know. I think much of that comes down to which options were selected on the order.. and are we talking Redeye, JB, etc.

You would think - but D1 (I believe) means all parts are avail - yet still stuck in "scheduling" process. I've realized trying to figure out how they develop their scheduling plan is impossible because there is no plan.

Yes, D1 means all parts have been acquired and the order is scheduled to be built. There should be some sort of build date assigned. The factory calls it the ESD (estimated ship date).

For those like me expecting a delivery date and waiting in shipping purgatory; Canadian Pacific Railway had been on strike since Sunday and the strike just ended yesterday. I am assuming that most US bound cars from Brampton are transported via CP Rail. This is the answer that I got from the FCA chat
"I am showing that your vehicle is in the shipping stage to your ordering dealership. Your order is now just pending a delivery ETA, which generates closer to the time of delivery. At this time, we can suggest checking next week for an update."
I am not holding my breath on an ETA anytime soon....😢

Can anyone elaborate on "pulled for quality inspection" and what that could or could not mean?

Just what it says..lol. There is some flag that was raised, requiring at least a second look. Something may have to be replaced or repaired on the vehicle. This is very standard, and expected for any sort of production process.

Hell, this type of practice occurs at the dealerships before the customer even finalizes the deal. The DIFFERENCE is what you know vs what you don't know. "What you don't know won't hurt you"

I was just wondering if this had anything to do with my unbelievably good fortune of only having ordered on 2/18 and getting an update today that the car was finished and going through quality inspection. Please don't hate me those of you who I've read here waiting since Nov or Dec

Maybe your luck will be better than mine. I ordered a Charger Redeye with only the Blackout option the first week of January.......it's still in D status.

Yeah, the RE's seem to be taking longer than the standard hellcats for some reason.

My dealer did, but when I used Dodge chat and the status website they said they couldn't provide me with it?

Dealer said 6/16 ship date for mine but was told it's not that accurate anyway, could be 2-3 weeks from then and the salesman said most of the time the car just shows up without warning.

Correct. Dodge Chat cannot/will not provide an ESD, or advise the status codes.

Yea. That’s what I thought. My sales man emailed me the POC today. That’s where I got the latest information. And I’ve used the Dodge chat a couple weeks ago.

Typically when an order is placed in D1, an ESD is assigned... that is essentially what D1 is; the order has actually been scheduled for production.

My order has been pushed out at least twice now. I was originally scheduled on 08/19, for a build (ESD) date of 09/12. Then the two layoffs happened, and last week I had a build date of 11/05. Now this morning, the dealer is saying 11/21. What in the actual F.

My dealer emailed me today offering to order 23 incase 22 is not built. They said, build date is 11/1/22. Anyone know if the 22 hb charger wb will be built?

I ordered indigo as well. My build date was originally 09/12, then 11/05 and this week it got moved to be 11/21.

Dealer gave an estimated ship date of 11/08/22. I hope it is built this year considering the frenzy happening on the 2023 models and limited allocations for the narrow body Redeye’s.

If a MY22 isn't built, there is about a ZERO percent chance of it being converted into a MY23. Its simply not happening.

Quick Edit: Reached out to dealer to inquire about how I might be bumped to a 23. Said it wouldn't happen automatically. Inventory manager said with strong conviction that all of the pending 22s will be built. Dealer thinks I should just sit tight.

Pending 22's as in which statuses? I would have difficulty believing cars that have yet to reach at least D status are going to be built.

I think D status at least. My impression is that they all reach D pretty much immediately.

Ahh yes and no. Typically orders don’t take long to reach D status, but nothing has really been typical for the last couple of years..especially for the hellcats.
