Looking for potential remedies for dealing with Dealership that won't honor agreed upon OTD when I ordered. Got signed purchase order and build sheet, although not binding, still should stand for something! Anyone else dealt with this? How did you handle it? Anyone familiar with FCA Price Protection Policy? Saw recently (5/2022) that FCA does carry one, and dodge is subject to it...just having hard time locating actual policy...Dodge chat shady AF, said "that information no longer exists on our site"...WTF???
Probably not a lot of help but mine shows the price protection right on the build sheet. Listed with the options. Pretty hard for them to get it of it that way! But I don't have a car yet either!

VIN/Confirmed order on Sep 2 2022. I know a couple of folks that got confirmed just before and after my date, that are in D1 already or in build.
I've been advised that I have a less common combination of parts, so my VIN can sit at D for a while as Dodge procures them. One such part is yellow brake calipers. Not too many of them out there, relatively. It takes longer for the parts vendors to fulfill those types of orders. Those parts have to come in or be committed to ship by a certain date, before my VIN can move into D1.

I'm beginning to worry a bit about getting cancelled with the end of the model year's production coming up soon.

That said, I'm keeping hope alive!
Not sure about south of the border, but up here if they can build but are short an item or 2, Dodge will contact the dealer and ask if there would be an option to change to a different color etc.

Alright this is kinda off-topic but it does coincide with some concerns with MY22 order(s). Has anyone ordered any MY21 SP or HC's but had their orders cancelled AND was assigned a VIN? I know I'm not the only person that had their salesperson show strong conviction that having a VIN will have a likely chance of it getting scheduled, let alone in production.

My order was placed on 8/23, assigned a VIN next day, then emailed by Dodge of the order received.
I have only heard of one myself. But I have been told that it happens. If it happened for one, then it's true. I think a lot depends on if allocation or no allocation.

I do think there was something funny about Dodge allocation methodology last year. This leads me to believe that not all allocations are equal, but I do not have anything to base that on-other than instinct. There are a couple dealers (mine included) that took a boat load of special orders, and I would think that if any orders did not get built it would be from those dealers-but then again they are the top dealers and received the most 23 allocations-so who knows.
Ya, I don't know what to think about the whole allocation thing. I do know that there are ways you can get one without an allocation and I think that has alot to do with who you know. I also think a huge part of it is a person's sales guy. Honestly, the whole thing is really kinda messed up.

OK, so now that we know the cars are going to get built.

What are some of the requests we should look out for when delivered, I remember someone talking about prep vs no prep etc but I can't find it anymore. I DO NOT want a front license plate holder mounted, who should I tell? What other things should I be aware of with the dealership and getting a new car? I've always bought used and private party, this is my first ever splurge on a new vehicle so I don't know how they "prep" it.
Ya, I'm in the same boat. Never even thought of it before!
