What has been the timeline to get from “serial number assigned, firm schedule” to actually being built?

I hear ya there. I reached out to the chat yesterday just to see if they could provide a shipping ETA. And the chat gave me the canned response of: your vehicle is in the scheduling process, it will be entering the build process very soon. I found this funny as my vehicle has been built since 3/14😂 I agree with you, the chat isn’t the greatest… LOL

Chat just gave me my dealer eta 3/31/22 - 4/11-22. Ordered on 1/11/22

Some folks it's literally a month from order to receipt. The less fortunate ones is much longer.....I'm sitting at 18 weeks...hopefully I'll get it before we hit 20.

The actual hands in build is like a week...depending on options and upfitter needs.

03/16/2022 D1 status with estimated ship date of 03/30/2022
03/29/2022: Production status E at station G (trim)
03/30/2022: Pending final inspection I status
03/30/2022: Buildsheet posted
03/31/2022: KZ status, being shipped to dealer
03/31/2022: Just got an email from Koons saying my car is on the way but TBD as to exact arrival date, asking me to forward my DL and insurance info etc., to initiate the purchase process.

Umm, I thought that Stellantis was in the business of building vehicles, not transporting them.

I paid someone $1,595, a price set by Stellantis, to deliver my vehicle to the dealer, Stellantis chooses the shippers for most of the trip.

Update email from Stellantis: "Currently your vehicle is in the shipping status. The estimated delivery window shows as To Be Announced."

She passed! Maybe another three weeks?? Fingers crossed by the start of May!

That's somewhat similar to when I have vehicles shipped. Sometimes they get picked up and delivered quickly, other times not so much. But the price varies a lot, obviously including the distance involved, and the make and model of the vehicle.

I suspect that most buyers would not want to arrange for their own shipping from the factory to the dealer.

No, we aren't given that option, although I would prefer it.

Either way, while Stellantis does arrange for the shipping, they're not in the shipping business, which was my point.
It's quite similar to that Amazon doesn't have any control over how UPS handles the packages they send out.

Got word today that my RE is passing thru Corbin KY by train on the way to Florida. ETA IS April 10th - 19th. Transit is moving pretty slow these days.

What's your dealer's location? It used to average about 100 miles per day but a little longer than that now.

Well, with all the current events (All widebody and Super Stock orders supposedly being closed) I'm getting a little squirrelly about my order.

I'm not a big fan of organized religion, but I gave Jake "Hellcat Jesus" Stephens a call and placed an order on March the 7th for a Super Stock. Hopefully the attached build sheet shows up.

So now I nervously wait.
