It sure seems like once an order (or a built vehicle for that matter) falls behind, it has a hard time getting out of its black hole.

I understand it better with a built one. If it ends up in the back of a storage lot, it's easier said than done to get it out of there if there are a few hundred other vehicles blocking it in.

Yea - but if that's the case than their logistics team sucks. No reason they can't manage inventory better than that. I'm sure there is more to it.

Been following along on this thread pre-order, and now as I wait for my order to process. Thought I would share the data points from my end.

Car is a 2022 normal body Challenger Hellcat with the HK Audio, Plus Package, Technology Group, and Driver Convenience Group.

Ordered 4/30/22
VON Received 4/30/22 (before leaving the dealership)
VIN Received 5/3/22
D1 Status 5/4/22

Estimated Ship Data has been provided as 6/3/22.

It seems rather optimistic to have a 1 month turnaround from order to shipping, so I am preparing for future delays!

Not really. We have one that was ordered on 9-6 and built on 10-3. Then it went into storage and the estimated ship date was 10-30.
That it didn't arrive at the dealer until 2-11 is the other part of the story.

When I got my update yesterday from the dealer, out of curiosity I asked them what the status was on my first order (HCWB not a RE or JB) and it still hasn’t been scheduled for production. I ordered that one in December while the jailbreak I ordered in march has already been built. I can only imagine my frustration had I not decided to order the JB!

Well that is more evidence that supports what Hellcat Jesus said about all widebody platform orders except for jailbreak are stopped.

Orders. The Redeye wide body and SS have been unable to order since beginning of April ,but now Standard Hellcat Widebody is on the list as well.

I think orders stopped so production can catch up before the 23's open.
My non JB red-eye wide body was built 4/25 - well after the orders banks closed.

Figured. Interesting that JB are still taking orders at the moment...Ironically it would seem the lowest production numbers for 2022 might be RE widebodies. I've seen more JB built than RE from what I could tell, but that could be totally wrong once official numbers come out

Makes no sense because I first ordered the regular Hellcat in December. It’s been in C/D status since mid December

Yep, I messaged chat to get my VIN and then called my dealer (didn’t wanna bother him until I knew there was an update for sure). He sent over the updated POC with that info.

Yea, they definitely have to catch up with WB Hellcats. Including all of the models. The regular one with 717 hp, RE and JB.

I checked with Dodge chat this afternoon and still on KZ status with no shipping ETA at the moment, so far vehicle has been in KZ for one week!

Jake said that JB are being delivered just like SS on an enclosed truck, so perhaps delay is due to lack of available trucks… Also Jake confirmed me last week that the tracking system is active again so he’ll be able to monitor shipment progress once vehicle leaves Brampton.

I’ll keep you posted if there’s any change in status…

My understanding from 2021 models is that only the SS was transported on an enclosed truck/trailer and that should also apply to 2022’s SS, now new to me was that JB also ships enclosed. I can’t confirm it yet as I haven’t taken delivery of my vehicle but when mine does show up at Dan Cummins I’ll ask Jake for photos and video if possible

I was thinking that too but I was in confirmed D status for a few weeks for sure and checked 5 days ago and was D. I was D, then dropped to C for a week in early April, so since its already been dropped to C previously, if i was booted back to C yet again over the last few days then basically my build is stuck in permanent limbo and i would rather they just drop it entirely at this point instead of blue balling me every week with no intention on building it this summer...

It boggles my mind on what could possibly be the issue. There is nothing on my build that would warrant a delay to a shortage (no stripes, no sunroof, no upfitter items at all...) This build should have been pumped out a while ago, but I suppose trying to find logic in Dodge's build process is like trying to find out what happened before the Big Bang.

Like you I have a nothing build. TorRed Redeye Charger with only option black package.

Been D status for 8 weeks.

Looks like we are gonna be on the same track. I ordered mid February and was in C/D since sometime in March as well.
