still feels like I’m day dreaming. I can’t believe it’s finally in my driveway. The whole driving off the lot experience was 1000x better than I had imagined over and over. The wait was wellllll worth it none the less

ps. The already swirled the paint so make sure you wash your own car. But oh well that still won’t take away from the excitement

Happy Saturday:

I, like many others have been waiting since late Feb for my new car. I've been calling each week on Friday for updates to the SRT line and each time, I'm still in D. Yesterday, I called the dealer. I'm buying mine from Cummins in Ky. I thought I'd just call to check in and lo and behold, my car will ship on or about May17. I'm rather excited at the prospect. This will be my second Hellcat and no doubt my last, but I'm still filled with anticipation. I've decided to fly up and drive it home. 900 miles of fun is in my future....well....400 miles after break in.

I think you’re making the right decision. I picked up my car about 900 miles away (Chicago from NYC) and elected to drive it back. I took local roads out of the city and didn’t get on any highways until about 100 miles were on the clock. After that, I took it easy and varied RPMs, etc. until I got to about 450-500 miles. It was the best one-day drive I’ve ever done.

Even losing a roll to a modified Coyote Mustang because I forgot my car was still in Eco mode couldn’t ruin my day! 😂

I have a question about the new cat, I know charger hellcats come with matching body color spoilers (mine is red matching the body color) but on my sticker it says satin black srt performance spoiler just wondering if anyone else noticed this or came across it and should i just ask my dealer what’s the deal with that ?

I see that on my sticker too but my Redeye Charger came in with a pitch black spoiler matching the rest of the car.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post. My guy at Cummins told me that Dodge wasn't accepting any new orders for this year on several SRT models. I don't know much else. I know there have been other posts on this issue, but this the latest news I've heard directly from a dealer.

hey is anyone scared about not being able to get parts for these cars going forward, i had a chevelle years ago in 1985 that you could not get parts for but that car coat 1000.00, not 95000
I highly doubt it. I think with this EV Revolution the aftermarket parts industry is going to double and even triple for ICE cars. Let’s face it. What can you do with an EV for mods? Not sure if Dodge will continue to make parts but.. I can almost guarantee someone will. Or maybe not. I just don’t see them building this stuff and just forgetting about it. There is still way too much money to be made. You can basically build an entire Chevy pickup out of an LMC catalogue.
