reposting some of my dates so anyone seeing this can see the progression in one spot.

My build was a simple NB Redeye with plus package/convenience group.

4-19-22 Ordered
4-25-22 VIN assigned in D status
5-5-22 D1 status estimated ship date 5-16
5-12-22 D1 status estimated ship date 5-24
5-19-22 D1 status estimated ship date 5-27
5-25-22 it was in production according to the online tracker.
5-31-22 JS status…. Build sheet populated online
6-2-22 JS status - no change shown
6-8-22 - window sticker populated
6-9-22 KZ status - shows last status 6-1-22 “vasc - Taylor auto auction yard 2” with description “Ingate/rebay at facility” whatever that means.

I’m seeing lags in info between systems, so I wouldn’t doubt that I get the call any day that it’s at the dealership. I also wouldn’t doubt that it sits for 2 months + with no info based on some others experiences.

the online order tracking tool just updated yesterday to “built”… it showed “in production” from about 5-25 through 6-8. Still doesn’t say its Shipped with the online tool. But dealership info says it’s in Michigan.

Clear as mud.
Hello there, what is the site address that you got those dates and the status?

I do know as of yesterday, Dan Cummins got a couple in on a transport truck. I'll try to swing by there tomorrow & get a few pics of what they have.

I just don’t understand why, to a degree, they are built in order that the order was received.

Interesting - I have the same body and paint options (except the SRT Matte Aluminum Vapor wheels), ordered a few days before and was scheduled on May 2, still in D1!

Wondering if the wheels or potentially other options are causing delays. Did you get the blind spot + adaptive cruise package? Wondering if there's a shortage of the sensors for those systems.
I got the Driver Convenience Group (Blind Spot) which automatically includes the Plus Package. I did not get the Technology Group (Adaptive Cruise Control, etc.). I'm thinking you are correct...wheels or sensors or both. Then again, I am slowly coming to the realization that it's a total lottery as far as which vehicles get built next.

Just got an update from my dealer - I'm in production! F status to be specific.

Timeline:

4/30/22 - Order placed and confirmed
5/2/22 - Scheduled, D1 Status, Shipping ETA of 6/10
6/30/22 - Started Production
7/1/22 - F Status, Shipping ETA of 7/12, Delivery ETA of 8/16

Three days from BA to D1, 60 days from D1 to F.

Lottery indeed, mine went into production the day I posted that question, just hadn't showed up on the tracker yet.

The Dodge online vehicle tracker website definitely doesn’t update like the dealer access tracker. Chapman emailed me a little while ago letting me know I’m in D status while the online tracker still shows my order in C. I ordered May 28th.

I was at my dealership today getting my trade in appraised vs the CarMax price and of course the place is empty. I was talking to the owner and my sales guy a bit and the owner said he asked the driver of their last delivery what the deal was since he noticed more delivery's of chargers and challengers than other models and he knows there are lots full of SUVs, jeeps etc. Driver said no one wants to deliver those because with the new contract there are extra incentives for drivers to get the Chargers and Challengers delivered.

Also...I was asking them about why some people might have been waiting since December and others like me are already built and I ordered in April. He said they still go by allocation to dealers even if it's an order. So if a dealership had allocation for 3 charger hellcats maybe they got 3 in sold one but still have two sitting on the lot other dealership orders are going to be filled before that 4th order is filled or the dealer sells their other two allocations. If it's a dealership that normally sells a lot though allocation doesn't really matter and they will keep building orders as long as they keep selling them and don't have any sitting.
