All- I just put an online order in for a standard 23 jailbreak challenger. I checked out almost every option (don’t need nav apple car play is >>>). It was a 500 deposit and dealer quoted me 700 markup on the order. I will be trading in my 2020 scat pack challenger NB which is also loaded out.
Dealer had allocations per horsepower locator and didn’t seem to care to charge obscene markup given that I almost purchased a cat same day in LA (leverage). My fear is that when the car comes in that 700 markup will change. Does anyone have any examples of dealers screwing then over when the car arrives. I’m not worried about MSRP changing. Im more worried about the markup changing. Once I heard 700 I took it and ran with it and placed the order versus dealing with other dealers markup BS.
They told me they can’t make a contract cause there is no car yet. But they seemed surprised that I was so worried about the markup changing. Should I be worried or am I over thinking this ? Any advice?

on 23 orders. After receiving VON how long does it take to receive VIN? And when will my order appear on the below tracker? Right now if i type my VON nothing comes up.

My Hellcat order code is JS according to my dealer, which means shipped to storage I have received nothing from Dodge since the tracker showed in production 02/28/2023. Can anyone tell me what ship to storage means, since that code is after built? Possibly waiting on the carbon stripes to be installed?

On 23 Hellcat orders (mine is a 717 NB Challenger Jailbreak)....anyone have rough estimates on what the timeline looks like for each stage? I understand it will be different based on trim and options but just trying to ballpark it. Dealer told me 8-12 weeks but they have noted that cars are arriving sooner than this. Think the folks at Brampton are cranking hard finishing the final allocations so they can start retooling for the lousy hornet and EVs.

I think a lot of folks here have had varying experience with timing. I can share mine, but as with all things your mileage may vary:
Placed order at dealer: Jan. 30, 2023
Order confirmed by Dodge (D Status): Feb. 21, 2023
Scheduled: Mar. 28, 2023
I know some of the colors, like B5 (mine), Plum Crazy, and Destroyer Grey have had late production start dates, so that could impact things too. Certain options that require a trip to an upfitter will also delay the process (satin paint, stripes, decals, etc), and some options are simply not going to be available (I think the carbon wheels are an issue, as are some of the stripes). Dealer will get info before the order tracking website is updated, but they still don't have a way accurately estimate when you'll get your ride.
