Ok, you might know me, you might not. I ordered a 2019 Hellcat Widebody Plum Crazy from the factory. I loved it. I sold in a few months ago, in march, because I was too afraid to drive it in the Bay Area because of the high amount of traffic, 4th highest in the world, and the terrible drivers. That was my baby, I wouldn't feel as connected with a used one. I also sold it because of COVID and it was just sitting there and I only drove it every few weeks, if not longer, to get a burrito or what not. I miss it. I have a new girlfriend. I want to go on road trips.

Found the same car as mine, but a Redeye and it's only $65,250. I sold mine to a dealer for $62,500. I called and asked why the price was so low, he said the higher priced once don't sell. It's in middle america, free enclosed shipping, 7 day inspection or free return and you get your money back. It's from a small used car dealer and they don't do loans so it's cash or a I get a loan from an auto loan place. I'm in California so no idea of how to register it here. SRT said there are things you have to do to register it in CA (like get an inspections), they also said warranty is transferable and I can buy an extended warranty no problem.

So what do y'all think, good deal? Too good to be true? Should I fly out to inspect it? They said it's perfect, no accidents no nothing. Get a Carfax?

LOL Good pic. Thanks. I don't mind doing that. I have some free flight passes. Doesn't it seem to cheap though? Everything else is $75 or more.

No, only 1503 miles. All stock. Perfect condition. I mean I don't mind about lemons, really, it's still under warranty and I'd buy an extended warranty as well.

Why are people so afraid of a decent price? Offer them $76k if it makes you feel better. OR do your research. Check the Carfax for anything major. It has a factory warranty and if that’s being transferred then I would jump on it.

I've experienced the same stress when driving a new, expensive car. Especially parking somewhere and leaving it. The fix for that is to drive the crap out of it. Drive it everywhere and all of the time. The new, expensive car stress will wear off.

Sometimes some dealerships have various reasons to move/sell certain cars quickly. I wouldn't be afraid of the reasonable price.

As far as the pre-owned Redeye goes, I'd drive it first. Take it, and the salesman if required, out on a decent test drive. Put the car through it's paces. Check the AC, the lights and windows, U-Connect, everything. Accelerate hard and brake hard. Drive at high speed and check for a vibrating steering wheel, or any kind of vibrations or odd noises. See if the water and oil temp stays below 245-ish when idling and below 260 during spirited street driving. If the car seems right, then it probably is. I'd jump on it.

VIN? You can easily get the warranty history from a DODGE dealer which is extra info--CARFAX isn't 100% accurate..

If you like it, buy it.. At least that's what Karpinsky used to say at Harvard.

Good luck! I am EX Bay Area and glad to be EX Bay Area.. But I did love many of the drives around the Bay Area at the right times. Ever been to Alices above Woodside? Again--best of luck in your search!

@butterscotch71 wasn't just the traffic. It was covid and my baby was just sitting there also didn't have anyone to share it with. Now in a new relationship, covid has lifted, all is well and I miss that car.

Ok question, I've always had the Alpine system in my Challengers. I was watching the walk around video for this car, still hasn't sold according to their website, and the door panels have the Alpine badge, but when I look at the window sticker, looked up the VIN on Dodge, it says it has the Harmon Kardon sound package? What could that be? That seems really weird.

Ok something fishy here. I wish I could report this dealer to someone. I just called the guy I spoke with last week at the "dealer" and I asked what sound system and if that's the actual car in the walk around video. He said yes and it has the Alpine system. I told him that the window sticker says it should have the Harmon Kardon system. He said it has the Alpine. I asked why the window sticker would say it has the Harmon. He said he's been in the biz for 17 years and weird stuff happens. BTW this is the second time he's used "17 years in the biz" on the phone with me.

I asked why that would be he responded, politely, with, "if it's weird then maybe this isn't the car for you and you can find another one". WHAT???? I've never had a car sales person give up that easily. I mean now there's something fishy going on. I was only on the phone for like 40 seconds. He didn't even try.

I can't spot the scam here. 1. Car never shows up on my doorstep? 2. Wrong VIN when it arrives? 3. VIN was changed to a wrecked car's VIN?

Help me out here, fishy, right?

P.S. Just spit balling. I would have just bought another one but I really don't like most of the colors this year. Then I saw it in Go Mango and I think that's what I'll go for. If I buy another one....Ok if I buy another one today LOL. I'm getting the itch. I saw a $96K Go Mango Redeye WB and a $96K Go Mango Super Stock. I'm assuming they're both fully loaded. Which would you go for?

P.P.S. Also what would you offer the dealer for purchase not lease as far as down payment and overall price? They're not running those power dollars promotion anymore.

Ask for a carfax on it, photos of the dash VIN, and the VIN stamping on the sheetmetal underhood.

If you buy new off the lot you're going to pay a premium now If you can stand to wait, find a good dealer and order one. Probably get a better price that way.

Before I ordered a new Redeye I looked at various cars in the used car market. I would never again waste my time with used car dealers. They know the true value of a car so if they will not leave thousands on the table without a reason. Check the google reviews and I would never buy a car from a used car dealer without at least a thorough PPI. The fact that he just blew you off tells me there is more he is hiding and if the radio bothers you then everything else will infuriate you.

They sent a carfax with the initial email. Looks clean. I don't trust this dealer. I don't get a good feeling about this. I'd rather not buy out of state in case there's something weird about registering it. Found a couple more Plum Crazy Ones out of state. All are $20k more.

I don't mind the premium. I would feel better buying a new car instead of the hassle of a used one that I'm going to worry about or have to check it over with a fine tooth comb. I'm really starting to like the GO mango more and more. I liked it before, but now i like it even more. LOL

Agreed. That's why I always buy new since 1999. Just don't want the worry and I like warranties. I like that I'm the only one who's messed with it.

Ok still want another one, doesn't mean I'll get it, but I drove 45 minutes to go see a base model Hellcat Redeye Widebody with no options except the Harmen Kardon. Which is all I want. The other options don't really change anything.

Sticker price is $83,890, this month Dodge has 0% financing. So that means 72 months, no interest, 0 down. Monthly payment $1292.

I offered $78,000 plus tax and fees and they wouldn't go for it. They didn't counter so I left. We'll see if they call.

All the other Hellcat's in my area, 2019, are $82 and higher so it seems like a good deal, but I'm still not sure.

It's frostbite blue and in person it's way nicer than the online pics.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they call back. Did they say how long they have had it? Or maybe see how long it’s been posted.
