I have had my New 22 Sinimon Stick Challenger Hellcat SRT about two weeks. Sometimes it will not start on the first try. I am fully pressing the break petal and pressing the start push button once. The engine will turn over and try to start up until the starter times out after about 10 sec, but fails to start. On the second try, it starts right up. It has done this on cold starts and/or when the engine is warm. Every time when I remote start, it starts on the first try. No issue. Do I need to seek service? I'm new to the Hellcat and to dodge. Thanks for the help!

Go to your Performance Pages, After Run Cooler... what does it say for "Battery Status"?

Do you have a Volt Meter?? Engine off, what is you Battery Voltage??

Yes, service if it bothers you.
Agree - and on a brand new car it would bother me....a lot!! My second HC and both always start on the first try. As mentioned above, have the battery checked since all cars nowadays with electronics need a good battery.

Not sure, but does the stock line have a check vavle to keep it from draining back? I need to put one on my Fore system. Takes time to prime the lines. When you hit the start button with out a foot on ANY peddle, do you hear the fuel pumps? If so, try this :

1. Push start button with out pushing ANY peddle. Just hold for like 2 or 3 seconds.
2. Push start but again right after the above, pushing the break in, and clutch as well if you have a m6 car.
I am betting it starts right up. If it does, take to a dealer and have them plug it in. Maybe your pumps are getting worn out, it happens. If they look good, then as about if the fuel line has a check valve to prevent drain back. I think it might have on in the stock fuel hat to be honest, but I am not sure.

This is the 2nd guy this week with the same problem. I always start with the most simple possible cause and work from there. These cars get very confused and sometimes will not start at all if you touch the gas pedal. I suggested to both to attempt starting while being absolutely positive nothing is near the gas, not your shoe, cuff, shoelace, nothing. Still waiting to hear from both.

I had similar issues with my 2020 HC. For the first 3,000 mi or so, once or twice a month it would fail to start. In my case, the car was trying to start before the fuel pumps got turned on. Dodge did a PCM update that seemingly fixed it.

Thank you! I did make sure of this earlier while pressing hard on the brake, did not start on first try, fired right up on second try. Also today, it did not start up with the remote start on first try. Second try it started right up.

Fixed that for you. They stopped making the SRT after 2018. You have a Hellcat.

Yes. Hellcat. It has "SRT" all over it. Even on build sheet.
Yes correct. It is a Hellcat. An SRT hellcat. Not a Hellcat SRT 😉

Mine has acted goofy a couple times as well. Shouldn't have been heat soaked but they were warm starts. It would start but barely run it seemed and the starter stayed engaged. I hit the button again to kill it and then started it again and it was fine.
