Pirelli P Zero

Could someone please confirm that these are the Tires that actually ship with the Hellcat, if you upgrade to the Summer Performance Tires.

I just got off my butt (and I was quite comfortable!) and went out and looked at my tires. Based on the tread pattern those appear to be the same as the OE summer tires on my car.

SRT_HC_707 - Thank you kindly. Wasn't that urgent, you could have waited and got up about 5:00 AM and let me know :).

Do appreciate the quick response. If that was them, wanted to order a set (that seemed like a pretty good price).

Don't laugh... I'll be up at 5AM... Like clockwork 7 days a week between 4:45 and 5:00 I'm up!

Glad I could help. It does seem like a good price. Heck I paid $395 as an UPGRADE (window sticker price).

They are both Pirelli P Zero's. Easiest way to tell is to look at the treadwear number on the side of the tire. The performance "summer" tire has a treadway rating of about 220. The standard 4-season tire has a treadwear number of about 400. The traction rating for both is AA.

Both Rated AA? I can't believe that they actually have the same traction.

Why would one be just a summer tire then? Dahhh! The tread pattern. :D

And what is the diff between these two?

$429 Pirelli P Zero

$224 Pirelli P Zero
I'm not sure but the first one says BL Bentley R615 on Tirerack site. I wonder if it was OE for Bentley. Still doesn't explain the difference. Maybe they just charge twice as much to make the Bentley folks feel good about themselves! I dunno

Go to tire rack.com and select 2015 Hellcat then select Brand "Pirelli" upper right hand corner of each tire there is a "Click to Compare" select tires at cost of $214, $224, $429 and $479. All listed as same size and max performance summer tire. Big differences in weight and tread width if I'm reading it correctly.

$214 - 35lbs, tread width 10.2", made in Mexico or Brazil
$224 - 34lbs, tread width 9.4", made in Mexico
$429 - 29lbs, tread width 10.3", made in Germany
$479 - 31lbs, tread width 9.7", made in Germany and Italy

Does the speed rating say 106Y? Those are the ones on the cars. Now do we all really need tires with sustained speed ratings that high? Your choice.

I was looking at them all this morning. They all say 106Y.. Two were Bentley specific. I can see making the same tire in different parts of world but seems odd to me that the same tire, in the same size would have different specs (width etc). Several are listed as discontinued too. The OE tire was listed as discontinued. Maybe Dodge got a deal on them and they are helping to deplete the inventory.... Who knows.

That is as confusing and frustrating as searching for two of their 315's for the back. There is a 305 listed for a Ferrari also, apparently different then the rest of the 305's (wider I guess).... Tempting!

Finally yesterday I found them on an Internet site after Discount Tire must be too busy to even return my calls now. The ones I found were only W rated. Figure the size and other benefits if I can get this tire on the back will be good for 99.9% of the time. Since 131 mph is my fastest yet, rarely will I need to sustain +168. Now, I am waiting for the mail that says they actually have shipped.

As far as I can see, these tires are awful! In only 500 miles, there are cuts on the sides of the tread on all 4 tires.
I am going to change them out next week.
? Are these summer tires? Have you used them in temps under 45? If so, then that's why you have cracks on the sidewalls. Pirelli warns against this. NOT covered under warranty if used under 45 degrees fahrenheit. Quote on their website
