This guy drives like a nutbag in traffic but what caught my ear is I can’t hear any sign of the supercharger whine in this POV utoob video.

In the comments he says he has a mid-muffler delete to get that sound.

sounds like he has some other mods but I couldn’t find anything on his channel except the Dyno run which if I caught correctly was 757whp. You can hear a slight whine on the dyno run.

So what gives?
Does a mid delete cancel out the whine? How loud is just a delete.
Maybe it’s the damn music volume LOL.

Mid delete doesnt increase the supercharger whine I dont think lol. If anything I’d expect it to drown it out more.

That’s what I’m saying, I couldn’t hear ANY supercharger whine from the cockpit.

Anyone else do some mod that quelled the whine?
I cannot confirm or deny that I went catless and the car got much louder. I put in my LMI and the supercharger whine got so loud you could hear it over the exhaust, as in my flavor of tinnitus made it seem louder than the exhaust then I did a mid muffler delete and it made both ends of the car sing. You could always hear the SC just not loudly until the LMI.

I could not make out anything over that awful music.

I did have a mod last year that dramatically cut my SC whine. With one plugged cat converter the supercharger was screaming. It was loud. The day before failure, others on a road course said it sounded like a siren was behind them when I approached. The exhaust sounded ok we thought. Blew the engine, got a replacement, and of course got a new exhaust system from Dodge with new cats. Runs better, exhaust is most certainly MORE loud, and the SC scream is nearly non existent compared with before. Noticed another Hellcat that did not produce a loud SC scream. In Vegas at the track where they give Hellcat demo rides and drift all day in hot weather. That particular car, while it runs great, does NOT have a loud scream from the SC either. I had to look close and listen closer to confirm it was indeed a Hellcat. I know my gauges indicate satisfactory boost (so yes my new SC is functioning correct) and it has produced a few acceleration numbers to indicate it does run fine.
