I copied this from another forum, can't vouch for it, but the guy said this dealership has no allocations but has gotten him a car with a VIN.

Actually I placed my order there, for List. $2000 below MSRP. I'm #4 in line. #1 just got their VIN last week, so the first allocation this smaller dealership got was the end of January. That's good news...the allocation crap is coming to an end.. The person with #2 in on here as well. Not sure about #3. They are a small town dealer pretty close to me. Good people. Trustworthy. I did have to put down a $1000 deposit but it's refundable until D status.

I was beginning to think that they'd never get an allocation or VINs. But they finally are. I'm looking at other places because I don't want to wait until September-Dec for a car. I'm getting a car within the next two weeks. Not sure where yet, but I'm getting one.
