This has been discussed some in other topic threads, but not recently in it's own thread. Wondering if the rumors of a 426 have any legs?

1. Is it even feasible to pull this off with emissions?
2. If it is possible to pull off, we should assume this is a $125k+ car?
3. If they can pull it off, I wouldn't understand doing this in a limited basis, based on quantity, as the dealers will have their fun again with ADM. Seems like they should open up the order blanks for a year, and take the orders under the year is over. Handle it like the Durango.
4. Any thoughts on a platform they would pick? Challenger vs Charger?
5. Percent chance we see this?

Yes. WAY too many things point to yes, BUT new administration and huge EPA hard on might thwart the already set in motion plans.

I can almost guarantee that since I have a Super Stock ordered they will very soon come out with something even better...
Funny that you say that. About two weeks after I ordered my RE they announced the SS...bastids.

Who knows what Dodge is thinking.

I thought there would be a refresh and a re run of new Hellcat to Demon to Redeye etc but nothing. And probably nothing until the model dies with the Hellcat V8.

Hypothetically speaking, if they do put a Hellephant into a Challenger, it will be minimum 150k and have all the tricks the Demon has.
Chevy supposedly has 850 and 1000hp C8 varients on tap in the near future. If Dodge can get that motor passed emissions then yes they will bring it.
But RS was on here saying the 426 was coming for the 50th anniversary and it never materialized. My only reason for that is it wasn't clean enough so they kept the 392.

I do think a 426 may pop in the HD trucks and an NA version of the TRX but those weigh over 6,000lbs and maybe exempt from the CAFE shit.

I miss RS. I used to hang on his every word and dream about what my next Challenger would be. It's a shame Dodge squashed that.

But to the topic OP, I want to believe it will come. It's most likely to show up in some sort of Drag Pak type car that's not really made for the street. Maybe they could get past emissions with that.

Dodge is the kind of company, though, that if there's a way, they'll do it. It's like how they sold the Demon Crate for $1 that gave front tire skinnies and all the stuff you need to run 100 octane. Maybe they could sell the Hellephant detuned to pass emissions and then sell a $1 Hellephant Crate with an ECU flasher that unlocks the 1,000hp "for track use only." I know that's thin and everyone would run the "track tune" the time, but if it works I'd buy it. :)

If Dodge product planner would quit chopping rails of estrogen, they'd bring back the Neon, 2 and 4-door, slap some hybrid crap in it, and jack up their Corporate Average Fuel Economy numbers.
Then offer massive turbos, manifolds, AWD, etc.

Then offer massive turbos, manifolds, AWD, etc.
I understand there is no money in the little cars like the trucks etc, but I loved those SRT4 Neons and Cobalt SS etc.
Hell, my youngest is 4 years away from driving. He wants a Focus ST or RS. He might get it (mainly because i love the RS)

Hmmmm I think the Builder of the Hellaphant already can build the 426 Hellaphant.;)
And most likely You can order one.

If they do this at all it will not be in a car but in a truck, as their emissions regs are less restrictive, as are economy standards.
