Oh come on now, it’s his car and we do what we like.
I'm a player in the collector car market. It just chaps me a little funny when someone pays a premium for a limited edition car and then proceeds to evaporate, potentially, 10k or so in future collector value with $1,000 in mods. I say the same thing about people with modified Demons and, 50th Challengers, and 50th Anniv. Limited Mustangs. You're right, it's his right to do whatever he likes. I just don't follow the logic. If I were going to mod a car, I'd mod something common. Special editions are special when they're left alone. They're no longer special when they're modified.

Says the guy that put a pro charger on his vette???
A C8 2LT is about as common as a C8 can get. It wasn't even a Z51 car. The 2LT I owned was the equivalent to an NB Hellcat here. Now, if it was a 3LT C8.R limited special edition, no, I'd not have touched it (or even driven it). If I had a C8 Z06, I'd not have messed with that either. The 3LT convertible I have on order won't be modified. It'll likely spec out fairly unique (to date, there hasn't been one made yet like it).
