Did you get credit for the old posts?:D
No, I deleted them. I seriously give up. I am not going to post crap just to post. People will get more annoyed with me than they already do! :D Don't need Hellcat hate mail.o_O I really want to get a helmet. The weather is getting better and I want to be ready to hit the track. It's why my daily driver is 707hp. Not just for groceries.:)

If you want to get a helmet:
Find a dealer and try them on. A snug fit is important. Different brands with fit differently. Try different brands and one size smaller and larger to find what fits best.
Make sure it is Snell 2010 SA rated. The Snell 2015 certification will not be available until later this year.
NHRA (if that matters to you) mandates a full face helmet for cars faster than a certain 1/4 mile time.

Thanks. I believe someone here said anything under 11.5 in 1/4 mile. Since my Hellbaby has superpowers, I have no doubt he will be there in no time. I have not read the regs. I cheated and went the easy way asking the pros here. :D

Actually, anything under 13.99 and you'll need a helmet.
Here's what I use (in gloss black): Sport Racing Helmets Bell Racing USA

I do not know what brand mine is, but it is an open face one. I have had full face, but with wearing glasses it is a real pain to put the glasses on after the helmet

If you are considering racing your Hellcat talk to the tech inspector at your local track as to what they will require before you are allowed to run on the track.
For street cars running on a test and tune the rules might be as simple as an approved helmet, long pants (no shorts), and shoes (no flip flops).
If you want to run in competition the rules depend on what class you run.
If you are an NHRA member their rulebook is available free. If not a member you can purchase for$ 10.00 here.

For IHRA you can view online here.

Usually, "stock" cars (unmodified) can run "as is". Unmodified usually includes things such as cat-back exhaust or appearance modifications. Again, a Snell 2010 approved helmet is a real good bet to make passes in your Cat.
Roll bars and roll cages usually go in cars modified from original configuration. What's required is determined by your 1/4 mile time.
They'll check your car for modifications when you go through Tech Inspection, and let you know then.

If it were me in my future Hellcat: I'd get the lightest, obviously most comfortable, open face helmet I could find that was to standard. This isn't a full on race car, so there's airbags & crumple zones that will take up some of impact if your unlucky enough too trash. And with out a head/ neck restraint in your car you really don't want anymore weight on your neck than your own pumpkin!!!

Just my 2 cents...
