Hello everyone!!!! I’m new to all this, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have a 2016 challenger hellcat m6 with 30k, I have had it since new it’s my summer/weekend car, I was out one night and started having issues with 1 2 3 5 6 and reverse not engaging, had it towed to dodge dealer!!! They took a couple of weeks to look at it only to tell me it’s out of warranty (which I new) but won’t tell me the issue just telling me I need a new transmission, what do I do at this point? Any one else with this problem

They took TWO WEEKS?
Time for a different mechanic.
4 is the only direct-drive gear, interestingly enough.
Get your car as far away from them as you can. Search this forum for manual transmission topics. It's what I do on forums. I look for stuff related to my topic of the moment. I often find more than I ever thought existed.

Get it to a independent auto shop for a evaluation.

I run a 9310 2.66 first unit at the moment, had a 2.98 4130 unit prior to this one. The 2.66 unit is perfect ratio for the street , the 2.98 if you plan on running a taller tire and track the car often. George of RSG good To work with. He could turn your broken transmission around in a day or two most likely.

Did you notice anything different about your clutch pedal feel or anything?

Just sounds weird to me that every gear except 4th grenaded itself one random night but I’m not a transmission guy haha. Sounds more likely that the clutch isn’t disengaging for whatever reason.

I remember accidentally welding a clutch disk to my flywheel one night when I was very you and doing a massive burnout (different time, different car haha). Whatever material the clutch disc was made of got so hot it literally welded itself to the flywheel haha. Made it real difficult to shift gears haha.

I do not think we will hear from the OP ever again.
So I went to the dealer today, there telling me it needs a new transmission and it can’t be rebuilt, I’m getting it out and taking it to a transmission shop nearby, there telling me not driver error, flywheel is in perfect condition and clutch has still 90 percent, def going for a second opinion on this one

When they say “it can’t be rebuilt” what they are saying is “we won’t rebuild it”. The dealer just wants to swap the parts and be done.

You can inspect the flywheel without removing the trans, there is an access plate you can remove, but not sure how’d they inspect the clutch and claim it’s at 90% without removing the trans. Did they remove it?

Well I would ask them not to put it back together (unless you want to pay them for a new trans) and have it (and the old trans) towed out of there.

The exhaust and the driveshaft are probably removed as well, so just have that towed somewhere else and get the trans rebuilt. You’ve already paid for half the work, no reason for them to put it back together just so you can pay someone else to take it back apart.

Not sure if they’ll do that but it’s worth a shot.

I dont think it can be rebuilt due to input shaft being discontinued. At least that it what I was told when I had my Tr6060 rebuilt at a local performance shop in Texas. They had to graft a shaft using a Zl1 input shaft gear and the input shaft spline from my trans since my gears were chewed up.
