Replace the battery. More than likely it's done. These cars are very particular about exact voltage and will act strange if the battery is not up to par. Dont cheap out and try to revive a weak battery with these cars.
Usually what happens is that the battery gets a dead cell and when you try to hook it up it shorts itself out. Things can go crazy in a car when trying to hook one of these dead ones up. It even happened on my Escalade. I got 2 words for you. Battery tender.I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. My battery died over the winter. I took the positive cable off and charged it. When I try to put the cable back on the horn honks. I took it off because when I tried to charge it with the cable on there was loud clicking under the hood. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The stock battery on my 2003 Mustang Cobra lasted for 10 years because during winter storage I always put a maintainer on it. And of course last winter I put a maintainer on my Hellcat too.get a new battery, preferably an AGM .....& when not driving it more than a week or 2.... keep a battery maintainer on it.....
