I suggest camming it for higher RPM. This will hopefully move the torque peak higher up and sidestep multi-piece gears that can come with excessive torque. Also Amsoil gear oil and a strong, magnetic pair of plugs for the transmission. Also, that nasty idle.
Also, reusable flat bar magnets that magnetize through their thin side, not end-to-end, all slapped on the oil filter at every oil filter change, too. Goodybe, ferrous particle wear damage.
