Hi forum members. Can the hood pins be ordered and installed as an aftermarket accessory at dealer? Thank you
Thank you for the offer but that will not necessary but May take you up on it if that works for you… maybe I should have prefaced by saying that I did reach out to my local dealer and they said NO…. So the reason for my question….Why don't you give me the name and phone number of a few local dealerships and I'll call them for you and ask.🤦♂️
Awesome. Great and thank you for the info. Much appreciated.Very easy to do if you take your time.
And if this one for reference:
South FLWhere you located?
Damn, I wish I'd thought of that one.Why don't you give me the name and phone number of a few local dealerships and I'll call them for you and ask.🤦♂️
There's nothing to warranty. The factory isn't going to warranty the hood if it's damaged during install and the hood pins have no moving parts that would fail and need to be replaced. It goes under being covered under the warranty because a Dodge dealerships installed them. The power broker dealerships will be dealerships with better trained technicians than the standard technicians at other dealerships. The dealerships around here would not install them because they didn't want to be responsible for damaging the hood.
Still has zero to do with bodywork. Power brokers will not be trained in bodywork. I think you may have misunderstood what Power Brokers will be. Techs dont do bodywork and the body shop at the dealer wont be trained any better just because the techs were trained to do the hp upgrades. It goes under being covered under the warranty because a Dodge dealerships installed them. There certainly are Dodge dealers that have separate body shops on site. Most Dealerships will not install them because they are a service/maintenance/repair facility. Not a body shop or custom shop. Try to get a dealership to install stripes on the car. Will not do it. If you find a dealership that has it's own body shop then there is a chance. From my experience, Dodge dealerships do not have a separate body shop like Mercedes, Infinity or BMW. All work is sent out after approved by Corporate.
Agree, I should have said Most do not. Here in East Tennessee all the work is sent out. There certainly are Dodge dealers that have separate body shops on site.
