Are hood pins really necessary? I’ve been looking at them and they look cool but I’m not sure about drilling into my hood. Aside from the “cool” and “retro” aspect of them what is everyone’s opinion on them? Good? Bad? Worthless?
We’re yours factory or did you install them? If so how difficult would you say it was?I like mine but just cool unless you severely mod.
That’s what I’m asking are they necessaryWhy would they be necessary? It's an option

No, just for looks. Gives it more of a retro look which is why I ordered them. That’s what I’m asking are they necessary
Absolutely badass must have. Love mine (were part of the build)Are hood pins really necessary? I’ve been looking at them and they look cool but I’m not sure about drilling into my hood. Aside from the “cool” and “retro” aspect of them what is everyone’s opinion on them? Good? Bad? Worthless?
Modern hood latches and safety catches have made hood pins really unnecessary for more than 40 years. But if you have a lightweight aftermarket hood (like a CF hood) it's probably a good idea to install the pins. Are hood pins really necessary?
If they were necessary every car would have them. They are purely decorative. If you want the then install them. If you don't like/want them then don't.That’s what I’m asking are they necessary
Anderson Composites says yes.maybe with Carbon fiber or fiberglass hoods they are required?
