Buzz buzz! That was pretty lame but what can you expect. I would be interested in it for a daily driver because I have a long work commute but that’s it. For me though it would need to get 30mpg without all the hybrid crap. Other wise I’ll keep driving my Ecodiesel.

Holy crap they are staking everything on this and the Durango, and whatever car they are unveiling, are they really going to change the Challenger straight into a EV in 24'? Well I just can't wait to get a Straight 6 Challenger, I actually saw a car with a plastic body and a 2 stroke the other day, hmmm...thinking hamster power is the future.

its the same marketing/sales model as tesla….sell a bunch of expensive cars(demon,hellcats,srts) then pave the way for cheap affordables(hornet etc.) meanwhile work on a project like the roadster(dodge’s new viper) and it will be the pinnacle of racing…

Cmon we all knew this Dart SUV thing was the big reveal already.
This reminds me of the original K car way back when. An effort to appeal to the masses with affordable transportation. They are currently going to need a bread and butter model and this is it. Smart to dip into the small four banger SUV market. It’s hot and there is money to be made in that sector.
I personally don’t like it and most of us here won’t like it either but it makes sense for Dodge because theyre not capturing sales in that arena right now. For the life of me though I just don’t understand the muscle car image that they’re pushing with it.

Can you imagine having to tell everyone that you will no longer be able to get a myriad of V8’s in a couple of incredible cars and then have to act excited that you are introducing yet more bland SUV’s into a sea of already bland SUV’s.

The Hornet isn't for us but made to sell really well and average out the fleet fuel economy. That's why Ford can still offer a v8 Mustang post 2023. It's a needed strategy. Even in the 60s Dodge was not just performance and made plenty of "meh" cars for volume. If anything will at some point bring back the v8 for Dodge it will be ironically strong Hornet sales to offset CAFE. I hope they sell a ton.

Its being marketed to us though. Why would they announce this POS at the woodward event/roadkill nights? They want us to embrace it as "part of our hive"... What a bunch of bullspit. This was terrible and dodge just cut its only throat. They were the go-to for muscle car marketing and just destroyed it. In one 16 minute video.
