With all the delays  how late can the 2021 come in and not be 2022s? How late into the year have cars come in the past?
Real answer :

Nobody has any idea at this time. I don't even believe FCA knows.

They are not going to start 2022 cars until all of the parts enroute to the plant, and at it, are used to build those 2021 vehicles.

Fair point, which makes me wonder, given that so far what we know about MY2022 is the security system update and the new Orange and Black Packages are primarily the main differences vs MY2021, could it be that they are short of the Orange and Black packages components? or maybe that plus the security systems?

I have been searching for a Charger SCWB as a daily driver for a few weeks. Couldn’t find anything new within 300 miles in a configuration I could live with, and less than a dozen options period. The dealer where I bought my Redeye offered me their last allocation (according to the manager, but who really knows) for a 2021 to be delivered in late February 2022 as a 2021 model.

On a side note, I found a used model with 2500 miles exactly as I would have ordered other than color. The 2021 order offer from above stickered at 55,275 which was the best offer from the dealer. The 2021 used CSPWB I bought with exactly the same options stickered for 53,275 when sold in February of 2021. I paid 50,500+ TTL no dealer fees or add ons. I paid way to much in any other time, but considering a $2000 markup in MSRP from early 2021 to now and every other used CSPWB within 300 miles was at least $3000 more, I just decided to eat it. I briefly considered waiting on 2022 order banks to open, but considering MSRP is almost assuredly going up again, the unlikely availability of any rebates or incentives in the near future, and at least a five month wait, I decided to move forward now.

Finding ANY used SP or HC less than 4 years old cheaper than today's MSRP is a bargain in this market. Based on the times I'd say you did pretty well

Man... How sensitive can some people be... I mean, my post was taken out because of "Politics"... I mean, I'm sorry, but reality is that auto industry is heavily shaped by Politics and Politics are and has always been shaped by Auto Industry.

If some "moderators" can't understand/accept that fact/reality, well good luck living in your own bubble pal...

Yeah, there are those dealers out there. I appreciate the sticky with the link for the window sticker. It allows me to see what options are truly on the car and what the original price was. I have found many dealers charging well above what the sticker price was for a USED car. I won't even pay sticker for a new car, let alone a used Hellcat!! Hendricks has a black WB currently, with like 11,000 miles! It stickered for $75ish and they started the pricing @ over $80K. GTFOH!!

So... there are very defined laws about model years. In The U.S. it is pretty specific. I heard Canada is even stricter (Didn't verify).

Basically the law says the model year ends when they stop producing said model year or December 31st of the year the model year is named for. Which ever comes FIRST.

SO.... They legally cannot build a 2021 in January 2022 and sell it as a 2021 in the U.S.

With that being said.. there may be some very unhappy people (myself included)..
