Anyone able to pull up a data base that would have the total number? I saw one that was recently listed for sale but I also know the number is very low.
Thanks, I'm a mall-crawler, Cars and Coffee show car kinda guy. I hate 1/4 dragging and don't think a sports car but especially a muscle car should "drive itself". Seen more than a few manuals running in the 10s anyways. Plus, collectability wise, I see way more long term appreciation verse a run of the mill Auto. Thanks for your advise though....I get that driving a manual can be more fun, but I believe this comes from those that have not experienced the ZF8 in the hellcat. That trans is about the best possible auto experience you could ask for. in manual mode using the slap stick or the paddles, its a blast. And it lays waste to the manual in any type of straight line race. When hellcats first came out, people shy'd away from the manuals because they were so slow. They have always been bottom of the barrel price wise in the used market. Only now since covid turned the car market upside down, are people scrambling for them. One can only assume its for the rarity or possible rarity, that you would want a gimped hellcat. I use the word gimped as lovingly as I can because you are literally getting a car thats a second slower in the 1/4. This holds true for just about any auto vs manual sports car, but in the hellcat it seems to be the worst example of it.
Right? LOLOh pleeeeeease, NOT THIS AGAIN!!!
Some people just don't know what the meaning of "FUN" is.
Very well said , I have always loved manuals , but after driving a HC in manual and auto , hands down auto is the way to go with HC’s.I get that driving a manual can be more fun, but I believe this comes from those that have not experienced the ZF8 in the hellcat. It's the only way to go now unfortunately. I drive an auto but I feel for those who want to shift their own but can't get the car they really want, which is what it's all about isn't it? It doesn't matter to them that the auto is awesome because it's still not a manual. These people want to interact with their cars at the next level-no paddle shifters lol.Very well said , I have always loved manuals , but after driving a HC in manual and auto , hands down auto is the way to go with HC’s.
I’m not that one guy. Just pointing out my opinion. This is a duplicate of a post I put in a different thread. (BTW: I do not race.)
As you guys probably know there is one guy on this forum who never passes up an opportunity to bash the M6 because the A8 is soooooo superior in all respects that we are foolish to own a M6. I feel like I have been hammered so much on this issue that every time I go for a ride an am focused on the trans. And every time I drive the M6, I absolutely love it! Zero regrets!
It was a nice day today and took a 1.5hr drive, some highway, some 1A up the seacoast. The M6 just made it that much more enjoyable! The more I am bashed on the inferiority of the M6, the more I realize how much fun it is!![]()
Correct, I was referring to someone else in that post.I’m not that one guy. Just pointing out my opinion.
Then maybe that proves its not an emissions issue at all and they were feeding us a line. Who knows but I wouldn't expect them to tell us everything. The one question that's been confusing to me was how these two cars ended-up being sold to the public if the emissions didn't pass. Shouldn't they have been crushed?
