I just want to get an idea on how many miles everyone is putting on their Hellcat/Redeye/Super Stock before taking them drag racing. I know this will vary greatly, but I just wanted to get an average. I don't understand why Dodge unlocks the racing options at 500 miles, but recommends you don't race the the car until you hit 1500 miles.

Pretty sure the only thing they lock is line lock. No idea what race options you're thinking of.

Why you would rely upon what others are doing regarding break in vs. just following the owners manual is beyond me.

My advice is follow the break in as per the manual. Then change the oil/filter before you show up at the track.

Well, maybe these others spend millions on R&D along with honoring any and all warranty work regardless of what happens? Just spit-balling here.............

I have seen people do burnouts leaving the dealership and I have seen people baby the shit out of their cars. I have seen people at the track as soon as their cars hits 500 miles and I have seen people wait until after the 1500 mile mark. I took my '19 Redeye WB to the track for the first time when I only had a little over 800 miles on the car and I never had any issues with the car. I have just over 900 miles on my '21 SS and I was thinking of taking it to the track so I just wanted to see what everyone had to say and get an average.

Amazing that apparently so many Dodge owners hold such a low opinion of Dodge and its engineering.

I didn't buy a Dodge to treat it like some other car makers calls for. I bought a Dodge with the intent to follow what Dodge calls for regarding break in and servicing, etc.
