Hi folks.. just picked up my REWB today........... I am using the red key, but when I look in the SRT menu it shows only 597hp in all modes (it was something in the upper 500s)

is the HP limited during the breakin period?

There is no hp limitation. Full hp from day one with no miles. You are in metric mode. Change the setting. The 500 mile myth kills me. Who started this anyway? They need to be flogged at the town common.

I think the myth comes from the non hell cats? My 2018 Scat would not go go into "drag" mode aka the launch control etc would not work. But i think it had full power from day one just some of the drag options were locked out until i had over 500 miles on it? My 2022 Super Stock seems mostly wide open from day one? I haven't tried any of the drag options but they all are not greyed out like they were on my SCAT. Track mode works and holy hell its umm a ride. I am trying to sorta break her in gently as i am only up to about 375 miles now.
I have heard a few trains of thought on this some say run it like you stole it from day one to break it in others say baby it for the first 500?

At least for the Redeyes (I would assume the super stock would have something similar). the manual has a recommended break in procedure.

I don’t have mine with me, but I remember it being something pretty close (if not this exactly) Long term Hellcat: Brutal break-in

Good point. Even the Hellcat and up models - launch control isnt available for 500 miles so maybe people are assuming that means hp is also limited, which it isnt. All drive modes are available as well.

It a great myth! I believed it until you guys learned me!

II think it would have been a good feature, give the 2nd owner a little more comfort.

Suggest going to your car, put the Start Button into the Run Position, Engine Off and go thru ALL the Menu Items and Sub Items on the Center Screen to familiarize yourself and confirm ALL settings for your car's functions. Also go thru all the Performance Pages, set up your Guage Preferences, your RPM Limits and go thru your SRT Pages to include your Custom Settings. You can quickly set your HC to your preset Custom Settings by Double Tapping your SRT Button on your Center Dash.

Also attached are instructions for setting up your Driver's Center Console Guages.

0-161 km do not go over 3000 rpm or hard stops or accelerating....161km to 500 km no more than 5000 rpm same applies....when over 500km can you full throttle shifts......and now you know on hellcats. redeyes and ss's
