So last Sunday I was driving around with the wife in the Durango while our little one slept. We decided to go to the local dealership in town and see the B5 and the bright white color on the Chargers they had in stock in person. I wanted to see what color I wanted to get my Charger Hellcat in when my number comes up at the dealer allocation list I'm already on. I looked and decided that the bright white is for sure the color. I asked to use the restroom before going back on the road. I was admiring the Challenger HC they had on the floor sales floor and asked if they had a list for allocations for the Charger HC. They said no we don't but we have one coming in. I said that's nice but I'm sure it's sold. He said no it's actually not. WHAAAAT! Are you serious?! One of the sales guys spoke up and said why not just put him on this one? So in the back room we went to pull up the options and color on the one they have ordered. It was the color I wanted but didn't have the options I wanted. They took my number and said they would get back to me after they talked with the factory to see if they could change the options before it's built. They called yesterday and said the options are changed and the car is mine!! Holy crap I'm getting a Charger Hellcat and I only paid $1000 above invoice! I have the paperwork to prove it too. I'm currently in a "C" status and should have the car before the end of summer. I caught a unicorn! If your looking for one it doesn't hurt to look at the smaller dealerships.

Thanks everyone. I'm still in a little bit of shock and disbelief. I know how hard it is to get an allocation so I feel very lucky. I just can't believe I was the first person to walk in and ask that question! They said they are going to try to "fast track" it but they couldn't promise anything. Either way I should have her by the end of summer! And I have a set of DR's ready for a 10 sec pass at the local drag strip! Glad I didn't give those away or sell them ; )

That is awesome!!! I remember when I got my first SRT 8 I used to go down to the garage in the middle of the night, click on the light and just look at it and smile! It is amazing to this day I will be sitting at a light and never once have I looked around and thought I wish I had that car, but I haven't rolled up next to a Hellcat yet either.

It is amazing to this day I will be sitting at a light and never once have I looked around and thought I wish I had that car, but I haven't rolled up next to a Hellcat yet either.

I haven't wanted another car since I got my Magnum almost 11 years ago. I did the shaker myself, the heads, cam and N20 all myself so I'm very close with my Magnum and love it to this day. But when I saw the Charger HC I had that desire like I haven't had for over a decade for a new car. This is the one. The Magnum will still be in the garage just not driven as much. I'm thinking he will be the son's first car : )

Chuckles...I did my Long Tube Headers and then I gladly paid someone else to do the Supercharger, Heads, Cam etc...My son asked if he could have it when he turns 16 (14 now) I told him I would put the SRT emblem on his bicycle! I cannot even imagine what insurance would be!

Haha....by the time my son can drive the Magnum will be a classic car and I'm sure gasoline engines will be outlawed. I just can't part with it yet so it's what I'm telling the wife. When the HC gets here we will have 3 Hemi's in the garage and a Ram outside. She thinks I'm crazy. Crazy for Mopar! Ya I have a problem.

Thanks and yes it is. I'm seeing here on the forum that the owners of SRT's and HC's in particular are getting treated pretty good so hopefully this treatment continues after the HC arrives.

HAHAHAHA! When I ordered mine (3 weeks ago) I was so determined that it didn't matter when I got it as long as I got it! I lied to myself! I want it yesterday!

Wow ya I'm sure it is. Like I said I'm a lucky guy it was a fluke I even went out there that day. Well you have a good taste in rides I'm pretty much getting the same but black wheels, a sunroof, no black top and the upgraded leather. Where are you located at? If your here in the Spokane area at least we wont be twins : )
