Well I got the call about 2 weeks-ISH ago that If I switched my order from a A8 to a M6 my car would get built. Well on the 4/14 of this moth I did agree to the switch and my dealer said that my car would be built in the next 30 days. Thats per the dodge rep. as of 4/20 I still do not have a VIN. Im starting this thread to keep track of as they say......COMPROMISE. Well lets see how it plays out. I only agreed to the swap because I'm very afraid that B5 will no be a color next year. and truly the M6 is not a big deal to me as I have bought another daily driver because this has process has taken longer than expected. This will be a line in the sand for me. I really hope that they come through for me as I have made a big sacrifice to get this car. 5/13 is the built by date. they did make it clear that shipping will take longer. Im good with that but I want my car built by 5/13.. If anyone else made this choice please post on here and lets keep track of it.

I did the switch to a M6 and am expecting delivery in early May. So far no issues

I'll bet money that it won't be built by 5/13 especially since you are still only in BX status....your dealer lied to you or was misinformed (either is bad). My guess....if you are next in line with your dealer is that your order gets picked up during the May allocation cycle, built in June delivered in July.

Zebug I think you are correct. I F-ed up by not buying that charger. I do think that the rep lied to him. They had him on speaker so i could hear what he was saying. I can't put any blame on him what so ever. He has only been given the information, and passed it along.

If you find another Charger pop up, grab it and tell this dealer to go take a high dive into a low bucket of shit. I've driven the Challengers quite a bit at the SRT days, the Chargers not so much because I wasn't interested then, but I have to say that every day i drive the Charger HC I am feeling better about having it over the Chally.

Hope that VIN comes soon. You deserve it. Just one comment. I have been lucky enough to have had some quick cars over the years. None of them had the raw power of the Shelby Super Snake. My guess is the HCs are the same thing (and more). Taming 700+ HP with a short throw was a challenge for me. Been pushing stick (so to speak) for a long time. Once you cross into that 700 HP zone, something happens. When get down on her you really have to master the shift or one of three things happens: you fail to find the gear all together, your grind it , and/or you smell the crispy fried transmission after your poor performance. I'd be interested to hear (truthfully) how people have been doing with their HC M6's when they really go for it?

it would be a hard pick for me....color vs transmission......i wasnt going to lose sublime, so if i was in your position i may have gone M6 also

and you are correct in thinking that B5 is probably going to be a 1 year color only....since it was in the past id assume it will be again this time

I got the call a week and a half ago, to have my Challenger built I would have to change to M6. Since I was on the line with that decision in the first place I decided to have it changed. I was looking forward to the A8 for the drags tho. I'm sure the M6 will be great. My sales rep is on vacation so hopefully I'll have a VIN when he returns on Monday.
