I just bought a used polaris razor turbo. It came with a bluetooth sound bar. Now your dealing with someone that doesnt own a cell phone and whos complete computer knowledge is going on forums like this or ebay. Can i buy an am/fm radio in dash radio that i can uses this sound bar with or do i have to jerk it out and buy some standard speakers. Remember ive never sent a text in my life and dont intend on getting a phone.

Since your looking for an in dash unit, I would highly suggest going to a local stereo shop or store such as Best Buy that do installations.

Make sure if it is a local stereo shop that they have been in business for awhile and have a good reputation.

Tell them exactly what you're looking for and see what they have to offer with installation.

It will cost a little more $$$, but this way you know exactly what you're getting and it should be installed and operate correctly.

Most of the newer stereo units have Bluetooth built in, same as using phone BT to make hands free calls...if it has that option, you ewill be good with sound bar. Just have to pair to device.

This. ^^^^

A lot of new head units have Bluetooth built in . So you should be good to go with your sound bar. . I would take it to a shop it have it installed and set up though if you are unsure on how to use the technology.

Silly question, I thought the BT on head units was strictly incoming, not outgoing? I never knew you could connect your head unit via BT to a secondary speaker system and play it through that. I always though it was only FROM an audio source, into the head unit, through the speakers of the vehicle?

^^BT is a communication method similar to the wireless networks that are used. It is bi drectional, and you can have more than one device hooked at a time. I have my phone, OBD MX+, and various computer attachments sometimes all going at the same time when I have to...just note it isn't the fastest comm but it is pretty friendly.
