Hey everyone, I need help on whether to purchase a Challenger Hellcat or a Scatpack. I heard they were going out of production by the end of 2023 so this had kind of pushed me to buy the car somewhat soon. So for context Im and Highschool dropout, 16 years old, working full time and it’s been my dream to buy a challenger since grade school. When I plan to buy the car I’ll be around 17-18 years old. I’ve read numerous things as to why a kid shouldn’t get a car with so much power, but I feel as my situation is some what special. My job requires me to drive daily and about 1000 miles a week so I have some experience with the road. I’m not worried about the financial aspect but rather the safety aspect. I need to know if I should be getting a hellcat or just opt for a scatpack since it would have less power, be cheaper, and still give me that adrenaline. The last thing I want is to total my car so please help me decide and enlighten me with your knowledge. (FYI the most horsepower I’ve driven is about 450. I don’t know if this is relevant or not but yea.)

I don't know about your financials so I shouldn't comment on this... It seems like you can't afford a Redeye from the sounds of it though. I understand you want one, but at your age you should be focusing on gaining equity. Get a beater, then invest in a home. After you get that all hammered out then you can worry about getting a more expensive car. I think you'll regret the purchase right now.
