I thought I had a connection to get one at msrp but now it sounds like that may not even work because they don’t expect much allocation.

My guy told me I may be better off ordering from a larger dealer IE Westbrook or Hemet.Or they even said maybe ordering one from a Midwest dealer.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

My suggestion is to temper your expectations of getting one at MSRP with the reality that that isn't likely to happen from anyone.
The law of supply and demand is not in your favor.
Good luck.

That’s what I’m afraid of but I don’t see why the demand would be that high. It’s the same car as the last 8 years, just the last year building.

Because it’s the last year anyone will be able to buy a brand new Hellcat as we know it…ever. So you will be competing with both people who want to snatch the car they want new before they’re gone, and also the collectors/speculators that are going to store them away. These are special cars and people will pay dearly for them on their last year.

The short answer is… supply/demand and 80/20 rule are not on your side. You have to pay to play.

Is it? The 300C, which practically no one nowadays cares about as to the model line (even though I think it’s a cool car) sold out the day it was available for order. It has already started with the Jailbreaks, a year early. Unless Dodge (Stellantis) decides to back off and add another few years of life to the Charger/Challenger, 2023 will be a nightmare for regular people to get a hold of one of these cars.

I’m thankful I got mine as many of us on here have, and I do hope/wish good luck for others to get theirs too!

As I've said before, I have 6 cash customers I'm brokering deals with and between them, they're buying at least 23 2023 Redeyes. I assume I am not unique and that in 2023, the big money buyers are going to be doing exactly what my clients are doing... buying everything via brokers and dealer connections at premium prices because having the cars is the important thing. Money to these people is like air to us. FWIW, 4 of my 6 clients are in Bahrain. I've got 14 cars coming through a fleet purchase and the rest I'm going to have to fulfill throughout the year.

Now, once you weed out all the big spenders, there's a horde of normal buyers who are looking to jump in on a Hellcat as a first time buyer with the goal of getting one before they're gone. Again, I'm not unique with this mindset, but aside from the ones popping up on the power locator, you may very well see Dodge sell out of the 2023s within 2-3 weeks once order banks open.

The 2023s are going to be a bloodbath. Forget about finding a good deal. There will be a few to be had, but the bigger challenge will just be getting one, of any kind. Remember, Dodge is not GM or Ford. They don't have the ability to produce tens of thousands of these cars. I'd be surprised if they made more than 6-7 thousand in total. Excluding the DDHC, Dodge generally builds around 5,000 units of all Hellcats and Redeyes in total. I'm assuming they'll try and over produce for 2023.

Plenty of people order from out of state without any issues. I had mine delivered from PA to CA and no issues. All they have to do is check a box
