Well how you are replying now. The same page shows all the replies to your topic. And no one thinks you're an idiot, some folks are new to using forums and that's ok.

Not at all! You may also get a notice in a red box at the very top right of the site. There is Alerts which means someone responded or communicated on a thread you are communicating on. Also, there is an Inbox, if someone sends you a separate email it will be in there. You can just click that small red box and see what has been posted. We are all here to help you and I felt the same way the first time I went into a forum. Have fun!
