Has anyone had this installed on their Hellcat? I was looking to add either a kill switch or have Ravelco installed but losing the remote start felt like a deal breaker for me.

Obviously it's better to lose the remote start than your car to a theif but according to the IGLA anti-theft device, you retain your factory remote start while working as an immobilizer with the added alarms.

I believe you start your vehicle with either a pin code, separate IGLA fob, or app on your own personal phone.

Any of you folks have the IGLA system? How do you like it and what are your thoughts so far?

Here is a link to it.

Hear nothing but good things for IGLA but finding an authorized installer can be tough.

Compustar alarm with Drone is widely mentioned as well.

Do whatever you are willing to be inconvenienced by to protect your property.

Interesting, a few local installers I spoke with said you do lose the remote start with the kill switch. 🤔 If you don't then I might be all for it as it is quite a bit cheaper than the IGLA system.

I may be wrong but my other concerning thought about the kill switch is that eventually a thief or even a few thieves persistent enough may eventually find the switch.

Bro there is a million ways to wire a kill switch. U can turn any sequence of factory switches into a kill switch and there is no way anyone would ever find my kill switch. Not in a million years! And u can have more than one as I do.

I have one in my trunk as well that I activate if im somewhere shaddy just for peace of mind that disconnects the power to the fuel pumps but not necessary and their cheap. When activated it will not work the remote starter but thats just overkill lol.

99% of the time its the one kill switch located inside the vehicle I use but the sequence required to make it work is not gonna be defeated by anyone unless they took the whole dash apart and started following wires which isnt gonna happen.

If u kill the ignition, fuel pumps or the starter then yea u wont be able to start it but remember the remote kill works via bluetooth and has nothing to do with ur On/Off switch located inside ur vehicle. There is a signal that goes to a box under ur hood so there is no correlation between the two.

No working On/Off switch and the car cant be moved or put in gear. Just as if u started ur car remotely u still have to depress ur On/Off switch for anything to work. When there is no power going there u cant do anything.

I see, that makes sense. Appreciate you explaining that to me. I'm not really handy dealing with the wiring myself so I guess I have to find someone local that can install it in such way that doesn't affect the remote start.

Since you mentioned there's a million ways to wire a kill switch, I'm assuming those that had it installed just do it one way and that way just so happens to screw up and lose the remote start on the vehicle.

No u just have to wire the kill switch to the On/Off button and not to the usual places such as starter, fuel pumps etc....

I think any and all things u can do to deter theives is a good thing. Audible alarms are usually just noise makers but if heard my car alarm going off my first respose would be to just open the door and let my Belgian Malinois out to rip someones throat out lol so yea ALL antitheft measures are a good idea.

Good video thanks for sharing. Simply curious, what do you think of the new IGLA anti-theft system?

Depends but probably couple hundred bucks in labor its really not that involved. I bought these off Fleabay and they work perfect and can be hidden anywhere but u can chose anything u want. I use the all black one and u can buy the all black in packs of 10 or 12 for like $6.

I have a sequence of two different things to arm it. U can talk to ur installer and it can hooked up to factory buttons already located in ur car as well. Dozens of ways to do it.

Kill switches are like Radar Dedectors...... Maybe 1% of drivers have them so no theif is expecting to encounter one and will just move on when it doesnt start the conventional way.

I’m curious. How much does a kill switch cost to install. No way will I do it by mysefl

I have the IGLA on my TRX great system if you are in the DFW area message me ill get you with the right person.
Do you happen to know where I can buy it? Seems like it is going for $500 at iglaglobal, but their buy button isn't work. The only place I've found i could actually order it is gearheadfabrications, but it is going for $1200. Thanks!

Yea Gear Heads does sell and do the install as well. They will be installing mine soon since I am local to them.

I believe the product is $500 bucks but the labor to install and program it is what makes up the rest of the $1200 according to other local places around me that I've spoke with.

There are also different modules you can purchase for the IGLA. One is a credit card you keep in your pocket...and not in your wallet. So if you get carjacked and they take your wallet, phone etc after the theives go 1200 ft from you and drop to 20 mph the car will shutoff. Makes it kinda easy for the cops to find from the traffic jam.
