How do the incentives work? You order and get a retail price, then whatever the incentive price is, you knock that off the retail price and that's what you pay? I assume dealer fees would still also need to apply, so the price will go back up some after the incentives?

Really depends on the dealer. Some will try to lump in in with their sale price and inflate their profit. Others will be upfront with you about their offer then add in the incentives.

Damn. Super glad I did it last year. $7970 rebate plus another $10k off. That may have been my one lucky break buying a new car ever. Looks like theyre tightening up with no end in sight, especially with this platform going away soon. I'm thinking 2022 will bring zero rebates.

So happy I made the trip early and got the $6k. Honestly surprised they have rebates on Redeye Chargers as they are brand new.

I'm waiting for end of year once supply catches up with demand and hopefully the good incentives come back if not I'll keep waiting IDC. It's inevitable for this used car bubble to burst these are not appreciating assets as these are mass produced domestic cars and they will eventually depreciate heavily especially once this market corrects itself. I just feel bad for the people overpaying rn for used cars that are gonna get screwed down the line.

Nobody's forcing people to buy Hellcats, but "the gotta have it now generation" HAS to the Hot car RIGHT NOW so they can make their YouTube dribble or whatnot, so they pay the idiot tax.

I personally love them for it, I got a 2021 Red-eye on order for what they paid me for my used 2019 NB Hellcat 🤣🤣🤣

Gonna be a LOT of upside down people when this thing pops and it WILL pop eventually. I’m sure not gonna try to call when though. If you had told me last september that this situation would exist in any form in June of 2021 I’d have told you how crazy you sound. Shows what I know.

Hey guys new to the forum here, I live in Southern California and currently looking to Special Order a 2021 Hellcat Charger as a lease.
I currently have a 2018 Subaru WRX STI that is positive on equity by about 6k
planning on using that equity towards the down payment/deposit, One Dealer wanted to markup by 5k and I walked away I emailed another dealer and they're willing to do MSRP but the incentive is down from the 4k and I wanted to know if you guys think its possible to try to get a discount below msrp or atleast Lock in The Incentive towards a lease

The leases on these cars are TERRIBLE right now, if you didn't already know. Just FYI

And that "incentive"/rebate is on purchases only....doesn't apply to a lease.

The charger lease is still good. But yes the challenger hellcat lease is poor.
Disagree. Hellcats haven't been lease vehicles since 2017.

And you can't lock in anything for a lease. It is whatever it is when the car shows up it's time for delivery.

Yes I do want to try it again, Hellcat leases suck since the 2017 firesale. Hellcats aren't lease cars.

And who puts $7000 down on a lease? Go into a dealer and see if you walk out with a $640 payment on a $74k car 😉

I feel confident @bay_area agrees with this message.
