Hello all,
Just joined the forum and I’m looking to purchase and import a Redeye myself to the UK. Does anyone know of a reliable shipping company? any other advice on purchasing in the US and importing would be greatly appreciated.

Then I remember what fuel costs in the UK and I think !

As far as the actual carrier, WWL handles a lot of the RoRo for many auto manufacturers, so I'd probably start there. However, you'll want to find a good freight forwarder that understands all the new Brexit rules for importing to the UK as a LOT has changed, and not for the better/easier I'm afraid.

One more thing - it might actually be EASIER to import a Hellcat from Canada to the UK. The trade rules are better and the car will already be in km/h if you need that...

@LordHellcat was on here back in the day, The beginning !
He isn't on here anymore but he brought over a 2015 Hellcat.
In 2017 I met up with him in London and he had taken my som and I too an American Muscle Car show.
I met @Stickshifter there. I had a wonderful time meeting up with everyone.
We had a great time and I became an honery member of their Mopar club.
They know the ins and outs of Bringing the American Hemis Over.
I'll send a link to @Lord Hellcat and see if he can come in and help you.

Yeah that's what I thought....shoulda gone with my first instinct!

Funny story....Flew into Dublin one time to go to my company's factory in Larne, NI. Picked up my rental car - a BMW product - and headed out on my way. I get to the border where things switch to MPH, so I look down at the instrument panel and....wait, why is there no "dual scale" that shows both kph and MPH? So I stop for a tea and search online and....what's this? Apparently to switch that model from kph to MPH you have to visit a dealer to change it! 🤬

So I dig out a pad of post-its and a pen, scribble down a quick conversion chart, and go about my merry way to Ballygally Castle for the night. (Beautiful place BTW!)

Next day I'm at the plant and we need to head over to a supplier. I offer to use my rental car since I can expense the fuel (which was quite expensive, even then). My buddy jumps in the driver's seat since he knows where we're going. Gorgeous day, so we put the windows down and zroop! out goes the post it.

"What was that?" he asks.

"Your speedometer."

"My what?"

"How's your English to metric conversion skills?" 🤣
