So I called a couple of local insurance companies and was asking if there was any type of coverage that would cover lets say an engine failure after you modify it. Noone was able to give me a good answer....is there such a thing? Tried searching on here but all I saw was posts on extended warranties.

In short ... no.... not that I aware of... however, I have a policy through Hagerty for mine (you have to have a daily driver)... and it is agreed value... so if you can agree on a number that may include modifications... while not specific to engine, if the car is ever a total loss, one may be able to recoup some of the $$ invested...

Hagerty specifically asks if your car is modified and to list the modifications if so.
