Yep, ours are similar. Only upgrade I have is navi and red seat belts with 6 speed. The vin is 32320536FH713729.Can someone on here that has a VIN for a 6-spd Challenger already, let me borrow it to get a quote from my insurance please? They always want a VIN when I'm checking prices. I'm sure it won't be too much more than my srt8 or a GT500. You can message it to me here if you won't want to post it.
Thanks Tammie!
That is interesting and great news!! Congrats!for what it's worth:
So I called my insurance, Farmers, and this is what I was told and it's good news.
I currently have a 2010 Charger SXT liability 500/500; property 100 (and uninsured motorist as about 1/2 the people on the Houston highways don't have insurance)....$1000 deductible. My 6 month current payment is $854
Putting in the VIN of a 2015 Challenger Hellcat with the same exact coverage DROPS my insurance down to $785 for 6 months. Reasons being, its ~500lbs lighter and has a ton more safety and anti theft stuff than my Charger SXT.
Just thought I'd share for inquiring minds.
That is odd, my state farm agent went through the list of the 2015 challengers and asked se, rt, srt or hellcat. So they were in his system. I even have the printed out quote. $444.93 for 6 monthsI talked to my State Farm rep today (with Tammie's VIN) and the 2015 Dodge's are not in their systems yet. She was comparing it to the 2014 Challenger SRT8 saying it would raise my premiums by 300-600 per year or 25-50/mo. I told her it would be more than that.
Maybe just vin isn't in, but type of car isThat is odd, my state farm agent went through the list of the 2015 challengers and asked se, rt, srt or hellcat. So they were in his system. I even have the printed out quote. $444.93 for 6 months

Magnummrk, that seems super cheap, is that insurance quote for full coverage? Seems cheaper than even many non-high-Hp cars would cost to insure fully for six months, is perhaps the deductible real high or something?!I gave him the vin
Full coverage. My 12SRT is $374/6 mo with the same coverageMagnummrk, that seems super cheap, is that insurance quote for full coverage? Seems cheaper than even many non-high-Hp cars would cost to insure fully for six months, is perhaps the deductible real high or something?!
Me too!! Only driver!Yes I'm the only one who will be driving mine...I'm just stingy that way...
YA its true even if all our driving records were identical we all would have different rates due to where we live crime rates in that area( car thefts) and incomes in that geographical area.Well just saying your quote isn't going to tell much as where you live and your past history plays a huge role in the overall cost. What will help more people is to say what you are currently paying for your current car so one can see the difference.
Like I said in my post, going from a 2010 charger sxt to the hellcat will decrease my payment.
And for what it's worth farmers has had it in their system since late August, didn't even need a VIN but today I called back with a VIN because I didn't believe them back in August.... Crazy but true
Damn. You gotta have lots of tickets or accidents...or be under 25. That sucks. Whatever it is, I'll pay it. Even though I've never had a claim and my last ticket (that I got caught) was 12 years ago.I personally called every company I could think of. Most expensive quote was from state farm 2200 a year!!! And gieco is 1125 a year. The rest all fell in between
