My Hellcat is due in late April and I plan on only bringing this car to shows and events. I'd like to get collector car insurance at a low rate with maybe 2K miles a year. Anyone doing this with their car?
Thanks for the info.

I think only like two insurance companies do this but I can't remember their names

I am with Doc, however in winter I convert my policy to a storage policy. During winter it cost $12.00/month.

I got a quote from Hagerty which was pretty competitive, so they definitely will insure a hellcat under their collector car coverage plan. I think Grundy does too.

Problem is your daily driver must be 5 year old or newer for hagerty
That's my problem my daily is a 2000 sucks for me and I don't understand I have 9 cars insured and still can't get hagerty to cover my hellcat plus 3 of my cars are covered by hagerty

Huh?!
I currently have insurance on my 1972 Stingray and `23 T-Bucket through Hagerty, my daily driver is from 2001, they have never asked the age of my daily that I can recall, they gave me a fair quote on the Hellcat recently, happy to provide coverage, and again, no complaint about my daily driver being 14 years old.

Don't get me wrong I'll call again but that's what both companies told me when asked for a quote

They did not ask about your daily driver?

Speaking of insurance, are we going to get nailed by the insurance companies with all the press video of massive burnouts and power slides? Not to mention the people that have no idea how to drive a car like this and wreak it in hours of driving off the dealers lot. What insurance company are you using and what are you paying if you don't mind me asking?

I have Haggerty for my 72 stingray and they use an agreed upon value of the car. They were higherthan my regular company AAA which is like $1550/yr. If you finance, check your paperwork, most finance companies will require you to carry full coverage while being financed.

Nope, that wasn't a concern, and they knew the car I was getting quoted on was a 2015 Challenger Hellcat, they gave a competitive quote for full coverage. I told them I'd put no more than 6000 miles on the new car, it cannot be a daily driver. Maybe their rules vary by state?

Chrome is another that will insure as a collector car. My buddy went that route. I just put it on my normal policy. It was actually cheaper than my '09 SRT8. And, my agent asked for a "spirited" ride.
