My WB HC Charger which I ordered is in transit with a dealer stock RE WB HC Charger to my local dealership. I have the opportunity to pick either and receive the same discount, 4% below invoice, I'm just unsure which route to take as I've never actually owned or driven a RE before.

I got this information straight from Dodge's dealer ordering handbook.

What are your thoughts? Look forward to reading your responses.

Objectively, you probably won’t be able to tell the difference between the two unless you were in a timed racetrack or drag strip. It being “worth it” is a totally subjective thing, especially given how ridiculous both cars are lol.

I went from a 2019 Charger Hellcat to a Charger Redeye. I can 100% tell the difference in handling going from standard body to WB for the better. It’s also more comfortable on the road since it went from hydraulic steering to electric, which filters out most vibrations on the steering wheel from crap roads.

What drew me to the Redeye wasn’t really the extra 80 HP, but everything else that was done to support the extra power it brings and especially to support more down the road (see the Direct Connection threads). The Redeye has a bigger supercharger and most other components are stronger to handle more power. The Redeye is a slightly de-tuned Demon with a non-drag racing set up. That’s pretty cool in it of itself to have a link to the Demon!

If you can comfortably get a Redeye, get it and you won’t regret it. Nothing wrong with a regular Hellcat either though, just make sure you are 100% ok going that route. Regretting it later and trading for an upgrade might be more expensive in the long run.

1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% this right here..

It's not that the Redeye is necessarily a better choice, its all the extras that are in the engine that truly make the vehicle worth buying. 700+ HP is fun regardless whether it's 717 or 797....

Honestly, I wouldn't even consider a standard HC in todays market, given the prices.... if it was pre-COVID, different subject.

I think you already knew the answer just by asking the question. It's pretty obvious what to do.

Not if you’re willing to mod. For $8600 you can do a lot better than a measly 80 more crank HP with a standard hellcat in the aftermarket. If you are a warranty nazi and refuse to mod then get the RE if you can afford it. I went regular HC and mine will be making 800 to the tire easily for $8600.

But, if the Stage III from-the-factory mod that still retains your warranty on your Redeye comes out after he gets his car, I think he may want to look at that, also.

This is something definitely worth considering. Some people don't want to wait 50,000 miles to be able to modify their car without losing factory support.

i also agree. Mod your car with dodge to keep your warranty. Not worth paying 90k for a car just to throw your warranty out the window. Do it smart.
