For those of you who’ve been at least two years, do those of us "knowitalls" seem to depart the pattern once the model’s year car is received or, do they stick around awhile?

Hi,

Got my Scat Pack in fall of 2020, still check this and a few other Challenger forums daily.

Lot's of good information about our cars here along with the normal b.s. and a few laughs.

Regards,
Jim

Agreed. The Mustang6g forum is by far one of the worst forum communities. I think I lasted 3 or 4 days over there before I disabled my account. The in-fighting and general asshattery is mad.

The number of people who buy these things new, sell them in under 12 months and disappear is astonishing. Egos and askholes come and go as the toilet flushes. They aren't missed.

I have "been" a Hellcat powered vehicle owner for well over two years but I haven't "been here" on this forum very long... In my case I was on the Trackhawk forum while I had the Trackhawk(s). Then when I got a TRX, I joined that forum and was a daily visitor until I traded the TRX for the Challenger. Now that I'm here I've been a daily visitor trying to pickup on a number of things specific to the Challenger. Before the Hellcat(s) I owned a couple of SRT 8's and was a member of their forum for a couple of years and before that I had 4 Corvette and was on that forum for 6 or 7 years...I was active on all of them. So there's a pattern for me. If I own the vehicle, I keep up with car and the forums but once it's sold off, I'll move along. All have been useful to varying degrees. Some much better than others..

Lol I remember a guy who asked a million questions and started almost that many threads, everything under the sun he wanted to know, got his new Redeye then a few months later traded it in a Mustang never to be seen again. Funniest thing ever!

I check daily. I have a few forums I do that in. I find myself reading more and more on this one. I have been a member for probably over 2 years and trolled for probably 3 or 4 before that.

I'm not a very active poster, but this place seems to have a pretty good head on its shoulders. I enjoy it and can see myself staying a while.

I've been here for four years now, and expect I'll be here for several more. Just joined the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT forum as I have one of them now for a daily. This is about the best forum I've ever been a member of.
In the past I've been on some crazy ones. The Volvo board ( I can hear all of you laughing ) was passive-aggressive, the Camaro Z28 fourth gen board was just depressing ( damn car kicked my butt every month ) the Lexus board was mostly about wax and tire dressings, and the Cadillac CTS-V board was all about making the first gen V's mechanically reliable ( clutches and differentials ) but they were good guys.
Hellcat owners are real people, that's for sure.

I don't know if I'm classified as a "knowitall" but I've been here many years now, I sold my Challenger Hellcat a year and a half ago, but my wife and I did have a Durango Hellcat for a short while after that. I no longer have any Dodge products but I still visit here regularly and try to help answer questions. I still enjoy talking with most of the people here.

If it supports the heart of the Hellcat, the supercharged HEMI platform, it will remain relevant, if it goes political/EV it's history.

I signed up because ordering a JB. I also ask questions and want to see what other people’s status are so I know what’s going on. Learned a bunch here.

after my car gets delivered I probably will not frequent as much (it’s a new car and I’m not fixing or trying to upgrade things). After the car is out of warranty and I’m doing my own maintenance and repairs I’ll come crawling back……. Lol.

I personally got the most help on here before ordering my car. And of course the tracking thread was alot of fun. Just 1 year ago it took 9 weeks from order to delivery. Now, well...... I'm still on here every day just to see what's going on, I'm still learning alot about these cars and there's alot of good knowledgeable and helpful people on here. Its always good to kerp up with whats going on with these cars and the industry as a whole.
