I know there are 2 versions of the emissions compliant stickers on red eyes. I see there is a 49 state and a 50 state cali compliant sticker. The Cali compliant cars have the 50 state emissions or california compliant on the ordering POC and a sticker that says so on the bottom of the hood. I ordered my JB in NJ, and mine is 50 state legal and has a CA emissions sticker on it as well. I guess the dealer inputted the cali compliant code?

What is the real difference between these cars? Is there a power difference?

A few years ago the Build Sheets said 50 State Emissions, now they say either Federal Emissions or California Emissions. No idea if anything is different or not.

No difference. All cars meet Ca or 50 state emissions for cost reasons.
What about this guy? I’ve read a few examples of 49 state legal cars still being sold.

Mine is 49 states!

neever thought asking Hellcat Jesus to ensure ithad To be 50 states legal… I‘be never had to ask for it with other vehicles in the past, and quite frankly I don’t care as I don’t live in Comiefornia nor I plan to…

they can all enjoy their discharged EVs to save energy… Losers!

I remember Koons saying they do not sell to California customers, maybe this has something to do with it.

Yes, the difference is the $6 - 8,000 Calif. takes out of your pocket to protect in-state car Dealers from cheaper out-of-state competition.
That's incorrect. Cali emissions certifed cars cost no more. I bought mine at Cummins with California emissisons with the 4% under deal.

They CHOOSE not to sell to California. I don't know why. Maybe not worth the additional hassle, as they see it. Hellcat Jesus definitely sells to California.

I would guess Koons wants to avoid the possibility of CA claiming they are doing business in the state by selling to CA customers. If found to be doing business, they would have to register with the state, file tax returns, and various other filings. It would be a huge pain for Koons or anyone else selling from another state.

And yet, Cummins does it all the time.

Please elaborate
I remember a vid of Tim K saying it was California Emissions certified and even when running on the crate PCM and 100 octane fuel it still passed the California Emissions tests.

It will cost considerable more to have an out-of-state purchase converted to the Calif. “standard”.
Only if it isn't already equipped with 50 state emissions. Even at that, there will not be a retroft required if brought into California after a certain number of miles.
