I agree, if that was to fail it would do some serious damage.I wouldn't chance it. It's not worth the potential damage if it let go.
If that's a redeye drive shaft i would swap the coupler from your shaft to it. But thats just me.Damn. I got all excited redeye driveshafts are basically impossible to find right now.

Can't I would have to buy it first and I didn't want to spend $600 on scrap metal.just take it to a real drive shaft shop and have them look at it.
or maybe it could be a core for a new shaft?
