I have received my brand-new unit today and I couldn't wait: I had to install it right away.

Unfortunately, the immediate result was really disappointing: I can't change suspension settings anymore; the controller doesn't work.

The display shows "Street" (but it rides more like "Track"); when I try to change suspension settings from "Street" to something else, the display stays on "Street" and, after a few seconds, "Level currently unable to change" warning appears next to the suspension mode indicator.

There are no error codes when I run diagnostics. Everything else seems to be working fine.

It feels like the shocks are in the hardest setting (no current) and the controller does not respond. I cycled ignition a few times, same result. I tried to disconnect and re-connect the battery again, no change. (Note that per instructions the battery had to be disconnected during the installation).

Really disappointing given the price of the unit (which BTW looks like a $50 Chinese eBay item).

I'll try to contact DiabloSport. Stay tuned. Not the result I wanted to report:mad: ...

Had a similar issue when the car first starts up. If you cycle through Track or Sport Mode buttons after starting up, then cycle back to custom mode and change the suspension setting to Street, Sport, or Track, it'll get rid of the warning triangle. My guess is that the device needs some time to fully boot up. Definitely can be frustrating at times when you just want it to not have issues.

Do you remember if the shocks felt soft (like in the Street mode) or hard (like in Track)? Mine shows Street all the time, but rides like Track.

BTW, I did cycle through settings many times, and cycled the ignition many times, and it didn't help.

Street and Track feel different. However, Street will firm up when going through a corner and feel similar to Track. Also, Street compared to OEM Street is different; slightly feel more bumps but will soak them up at speed quite nicely. I went through the yellow triangle issue this morning. It took about 2 minutes for the yellow triangle to go away after cycling through the suspension settings. For example, I did Sport Mode (everything is in Sport), then switched back to custom. Then in custom I started switching between suspension only changes. Even though the triangle was there, I'm able switch through suspension changes. After about 2 minutes, I'm still able to switch through but with the triangle gone.

Did you try talking to DiabloSport? This does not sound normal. Not as bad as my situation where I'm stuck in "Street" that feels like "Track", but not good nevertheless...

Update:

DiabloSport has sent me another unit; two-day shipping, with a return label for the original unit, all good.

Except... The new unit does exactly the same thing as the old one. Any suspension mode except for "Street" gives me that warning triangle and the "Level currently unable to change" error message; the indicator stays in "Street". I went through a few ignition cycles, and in each I tried to change the mode a few times. Didn't help, just like it didn't help with the first unit. I should also say that I was driving with the first unit for nearly a week, daily, each ride trying to switch suspension mode. It never worked.

So the issue has not been fixed.

I don't believe that two units in a row could be defective. So I though that maybe somehow I managed to damage the wires. Unlikely, but who knows, right? So I have put the stock controller back. Guess what? Everything works perfectly well, and the modes change in an instant. So there is nothing wrong on the car side, it seems.

So I have no idea what is going on. The only thing that I can imagine is that there were some year-to-year differences in the car, and the controller is not compatible with mine (2015). Or because it is 6MT? Or what?

So now I wonder if my issue is a more prominent manifestation of what the member above ^^^ has experienced?

If you have this controller installed, could you please post (or PM me) the year of your car, the type of the transmission, and if you ever had any delays switching suspension modes (if it switches fine, mention this, too). This may help to clarify what is going on here. Thanks in advance!

2019 REWB Auto. Flawless from minute #1.

If I have time today, I’ll try to get my first evaluation that I wrote for Mike and cut and paste some highlights for everyone. Short story, it worked real well on the track at BIR. I replaced seven of my ten best major sector times in the big corners and up the straight and turned consistent laps. The car feels great and is heading to RA on a trailer tomorrow for the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed the GoPro is back in action for videos all weekend.

Below is the procedure I use to get rid of the warning triangle.

-start car,
-wait about 1-2 minutes (don’t have to be stationary and can drive around)
-if in custom mode, I change just the suspension setting to sport or track and it will show street, the triangle usually comes on.
-then select either All Sport or All Track modes
-then go back to Custom mode and change suspension settings, then it changes and triangle goes away
-then I can switch each suspension setting without issues in custom mode

Alternatively, no issues when using All Track or All Sport modes. Usually, I’ll change it to All Track and cycle the traction control button back to Street when driving around town.

It does get annoying at times but I do like the change in suspension compared to stock

I have seen this on one other car. It was a race car with a PCM and BCM from different year cars, so we figured that was the likely culprit. It sounds like you've run into the same scenario. Can I assume your HC is running all of its original modules, etc?

How can you guys just drop this issue? What was the outcome? I’d especially expect to hear from the Diablosport Employee.
