Hi Guys.... not sure if this has been asked before and apologize if it has.....

When I was at the dealership to order my 22 Redeye Widebody (but its happens on dodge.ca and dodge.com order site too) there are hardly any options (like SRT spoiler, seat options, stripes, etc.) specifically on the REWB. The other cars seems to have all the options. I ended up ordering the car without some options and the dealer said we could change them later (before D status) so I think I am ok....but.... does anyone know anything about this?

or is this a case of "will you just #%@@ relax and give it some time" for the order process to finish situation?

It looks to me like the REWB has limited options unless you go the jailbreak REWB model. Looks to be a new marketing scheme that forces you to spend more money to get certain options.

I wondered that......but that would be pretty crappy if that was the case..... I suppose if that was true, the worst it could be is paying an extra thousand for the JB ---- but I do hope thats not the case as it would be a crappy technique......but hummmm, maybe you are right

They dont even have a Jailbreak listed on the Canada site, or on the dealership system!! weird

It is the case.

You want a Redeye Widebody with Plus, Alcantara and Harman Kardon then the standard car is what you get.

You want other options like Laguna Leather, the Spoiler, 3.09 gears, etc then you must get the Jailbreak.

Interesting... Thank you for clearing that up......I guess now I just need to figure out how to order a JB in Canada (since its not on the dodge.ca site or on the dealer system!!! what an adventure in car ordering!

There are still some issues on the build and price. Maybe they haven’t finished uploading the website with all updates. It’s grouping options etc. Supposed to be some updates on the 15th. IDK

Another thing on the B&P is on the HCWB 717hp with A8 the Guzzler Tax is $2100, if you switch to M6 it drops to $1700.

The M6 fuel mileage ratings are worse than A8 so that definitely doesn't seem right but may be telling about M6 availability in that they're in no hurry to correct it.

Went back today and they still show the technology package in the build and price for the Super Stock... what the heck, the SS is more money than the Jail Break but only on stripe option and no wheel options for the 18" wheels...

The Tech Group is available on Super Stock but it's just like Redeye, you only get the Auto High Beams and Auto Wipers for $1295.

FYI, they aren't going to give you a heads up as to when it's going to change to D status, when it does you cannot make changes. So unless the dealer is checking daily, multiple times, to ensure they catch these things you want when they open up (if they ever do) chances are you are going to miss them.

The website build and price has nothing to do with the real, Dealerconnect system that orders are placed on. Never consider there to be any link or logic between the two.

Thanks Tannehill... This is exactly what I am worried about... not catching it in time..... but after 3 days of investigating, I just really do not think either the website or the Dealerconnect system is completely done --- there was literally no Jailbreak at all on the Canadian dealer site - weird......and still trying to figure out how to order (or re-order!) a REWB with the correct options (in Canada)

The Jailbreak is really just a RE with more trim options to choose from. The most disappointing part is the Jailbreak seems to be just a work around for limited supply issues, instead of offering the trim options on the RE they charge more just to have the ability to change trim options! JB=RE with more aesthetic options, no real improvement on performance except a meaningless 10 BHP bump which is more about measuring the HP than actual increase in performance. I'm not sure if the JB started off as an Optics package that became a trim level once it became apparent that the supply chain issues left uncertainty in the ability to deliver.

Also, on the Dodge site make sure you have the 22' option and not the 21' selected.

Yes..... I sort of agree to wait, although I bolted down to the dealer on the first day and ordered!!!! guess I will just have to watch closely and make sure i get my order modified before its too late (based on your folks, starting to think there is no real rush!!)

There’s going to be strategy involved when ordering these last two years. Dodge is announcing new options and features every three months over the next 24 months. What if you order and three months later they came out with a cool option or color ? But what if you wait too long and miss the ordering. This is going to get interesting. Tim said some announcements will be minor but some will be major.

Oh Jeez man..... I never even thought about that.... your right, timing has to be right, except that's gonna be pretty hard since we don't know...I guess that will be the Hellcat mystery (but I dont want to end up without the cool stuff!!!!)

OP is going to be in a world of hurt when he sees what they've really done. My 2021 REWB I specced out is 13k more expensive in 2022 as a result of nearly all the options I wanted have to come from the Jailbreak model. I'm still likely going to bite that bullet in April/May, but it's a helluva pill to swallow. But, if I want to own a Redeye, I'll just have to suck it up and do it.

If you really want to see some pain, just wait and try ordering one of the 2023s.
