I have a JB order with status BX. I’ve read through the threads and it seems that some say BX is almost guaranteed an eventual pickup by the factory, while others say it doesn’t mean anything. Any insight? Trying to figure out how hopeful I should be about getting one.

BX means nothing, except that your build specs are theoretically correct and within factory guidelines.

D status is what you’re looking for to guarantee that you have allocation. If your POC has a “guaranteed scheduling” or “February/March production” item code on it, that also appears to indicate that you have a good order.

It means it CAN be scheduled for build. Not gauranteed as the allocated cars will be picked up first.

Yes as stated if it has a gauranteed build it will be built. Otherwise your waiting on the sidelines with BX until/if the factory decides to build it. I’m rolling the dice been in BX since 1/10 order.

How long ago did you place the order? If the order was placed against a valid factory allocation, the status will change within a few days or so. Look for code 5N9 "Guaranteed Schedules" on the POC provided by your dealer at the time you placed the order.

Mine is BX with 5N9 and 5T2 February Production but it’s march now?

Yours is allocated. You skip the line. It’s supposed to be built when it says in the POC guess they are running behind?
I guess so. Looks like others who are also allocated are experiencing the same? I didn’t even think I had an allocation. I thought I was just in the pool of orders waiting for the random pick up, so this is better news than I expected either way.

I ordered mine on 3/2 and it’s in BG status against a solid allocation. Really good friends with my dealer and he showed me his available allocations. At the time he had 3 hellcats, 0 red eyes and 1 jailbreak allocation which I took. He told me expect it to hit D status within a month or so but as of now BG

My Build Sheet lists January Production and got built in March. 2022 production got a late start and they had a short shutdown since.

How can you see which month it was suppose to be built in?
I did not see that information until I was able to print my Build Sheet.

What does code 5N9 really mean though?
I know it means enough that after a couple days, my Dealer called his rep and asked why the car had not been scheduled yet and within a day it was scheduled and assigned a VIN.

5N9 is a cut the line speed pass. Your getting your car as a allocated priority build. It says “guaranteed scheduling” can’t spell it out more than that. If you don’t have that code (like me) your on the sidelines until the factory has bandwidth.

Crazy how there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the allocation system. My SS was ordered on Sunday, entered on Monday and went to D status with vin assigned on Wednesday. This from a smaller dealer with no allocation for JB or RE. 🤷‍♂️

Who knows. I had the February production code, but not the guaranteed scheduling code, and my order’s been moving along decently. I’m not sure what the real indicators are, except the overall size and volume of the ordering dealer. Big time dealers have always gotten faster builds from the big three.
