He's a world renowned drift racer. He wasn't trying to cut clean lines. He was trying to get it to chain drifts through those combo turns but they couldn't figure out how to totally defeat the stability control. That's what he was complaining about. It would start a drift but he says, "car intervenes," meaning at about the apex, the stab. control was kicking in and not allowing the RPMs to remain high to throttle modulate through the turn.

It’s interesting that I can find these things sliding around during sideshows all day long but he couldn’t get it to rotate. I wonder if it was the mode the car was in (street, track, etc) or if his technique was just triggering stability control intervention. I also wonder if he tried the full off option (holding traction control down until stability control disables). 🤔 very interesting video

Well those guys probably can’t read English. Imagine sitting in a Japanese car with all kanji characters on the screen I wouldn’t be able to figure out the SRT screen either! Lol

English is mandatory in Japanese schools yet most can't articulate simple sentences, seems fairly strange as how close we are economically and politically, then again there are way more English speaking Japanese than Japanese Speaking Americans per capita and my Spanish sucks even though I'm from a place where 1/2 population speaks Spanish.
